More Oranges

I don't know if this is a total stretch or not, but I think the only time we have actually seen oranges throughout the whole Lost series is when Miles offers Michael a piece of one when he boards the freighter, and when Locke did his creepy orange smile in the Pilot ep. Could this be a homage to The Godfather movies?
For people who don't know what I'm talking about, the color orange or actual oranges were shown just before a death occurs in the movies. For anyone who might have brought this up long ago, my apologies.

The only other thing I can think of where Orange is a theme was when it was the Color LOVE would show up to Jin when he meets Sun.. Otherwise hmmm.. I can't off the top of my head remember any times it has played out...

Although who died, besides all the people who didn't survive the crash.. In the piolet? IDK

I too thought that there's some weird orange connection between Locke & Miles

This is the scene I was refering to. He said it could be the color or fruit in the original post this is the only other time that ORANGE stuck out in my memory..

Locke with his orange in mouth smile is definitely an omage to The Godfather but I am not sure if LOsT is using it to foreshadow a death scene. I thought they used the color red for that. Like right before Eko's death scene his is talking to Yemi in a field with several red flowers.

As far as other orange appearances, didn't Hurley drive his camero through a bunch of oranges at the beginning of the first episode of season 4? It was some kind of fruit, I think it was oranges.

I think it was mango's but I am not positive on the type of fruit.. Maybe a melon but I was thinking Mango's

No Problem.. I really don't know why that scene stuck out in my head so much but you said orange and that is what my silly self thought of first

I looked it up on Lostpedia and they say they are papyas that Hurley runs over. I myself thought they were lemons. But I guess that is just because papayas are yellow too.
