No, that boy's name was Mark Silverman. Sawyer's real name is James Ford.

Aww shucks. But before you get too impressed you should know I have
the DVD's of the first season. I remembered the kid's name was Mark, but
I had to go back and watch it to get the last name.

And I have TiVo - so my "memory" is about to get even better!

Ohh I realized what a jerk Jack's father was when he was actually
criticizing Jack for helping someone else out!!!!!!!
And then he just nonchalantly talks about the child who died on
the operating table, like it wasn't important.
I can't believe he wanted anything to do with his father or being a doctor.

Jack is a much better humanbeing than his father was.Now he has to realise that,and even with all the flaws, Dad did love and respect the person Jack had /has become..Sawer did help some with that.
