Here is something that bothers me. In "What Kate Did" Eko claims he found a book at a temple. And hes saying it like it was the same book that was in that story. Which was rather annoying because I know it wasn't.

This part has really upset me for I have never seen The Tailies find a temple. Also the whole story connection was rather weird.

Its almost like this entire scene was just pointless and forgotten. Also the tape had nothing very interesting on it and nothing thats going to help us in the future.

This being said, many mysteries in Season 2 are pointless such as "Why can't we communicate with other stations? What Happens?"

Season 2 feels very unsetteling now. Can anyone help me out and explain this too me?

The book was found by the tail-section survivors in the DHARMA bunker they inhabited on the other side of the Island. not the temple. they were never at the temple.

the additional tape shows Dr. Candle expands on his warning that the computer is to be used only to enter the code. He explains that while the isolation of Station 3 may tempt one to use the computer to communicate with the outside world, such action would compromise the integrity of the project and may lead to another "incident".

You're half right. It's a bit confusing. Eko was telling the story of the rebuilding of the temple as it was described in the New Testament. This temple is a very famous place and revered by Jews, Christians, and I think Muslims alike because at different points in history each religion had a place of worship on the exact same spot of land and it has been destroyed and rebuilt many times. Part of it still exists today as the Wailing Wall, I believe...

Eko said that a great book was used to rebuild the temple, rather than gold. The great book was the New Testament. Then he said that the Tailies had found a hatch a lot like the Swan on the other side of the island: the Arrow hatch. Inside that hatch Eko found the missing segment of the Swan orientation film, the part that said never to use the computer as a communications device or it might cause another "incident."

So the temple on the Island where Ben was leading his people is not the same temple that Eko was talking about, see? As far as I know, only John Locke has ever heard of the Island's temple and that's because the Others told him about it.

What if, like the medical station hiding other rooms, the arrow hides an underground path to the temple. The Arrow points to the temple.. I mean, it seemed pretty useless to have such a cool name. The pearl had a secret passage as well no?

It seems like we've been distracted away from a lot of the questions we had in the first couple of seasons of Lost. Like what was 'the incident' what about the weird videos and that guy in all the videos with the different names and what exactly happened with Rousseau's shipmates and the monster and the fence and the hole that Jack saved Locke from and the 20 million other strange things about the island. I hope it all makes sense in the end.

I mean, I get that we can't have all the answers now, but I have forgotten some of the questions! lol

Maybe someone has suggested this on another post, but it seems like everyone is assuming the Temple is something from before Dharma. Maybe the Temple is the name of another Dharma station and the writers are trying to throw us off by showing us a four toed foot and stone pillar with Lockes dad tied to it. So instead of Richard taking the others to some creepy pre historic ruin, they really went to big hatch with all the comforts of Otherville.

I wonder if the incident has anything to do with Marvin Candle and him losing his arm. I saw the orchid video and the swan video and he's clearly an amputee in one but not the other.
