Sun-Hwa Kwon
Sun-Hwa Kwon (née Paik ?) (Revised Romanization of Korean (RR): Baek Seon-hwa, McCune-Reischauer (MR): Paek So(n'hwa) is one of the middle section survivors of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815. She was traveling on the plane with her husband, Jin-Soo Kwon. Their marriage has been very unstable, on and off the island, mainly due to Jin's controlling and violent nature and also because of Sun's many secrets that she will go to great lengths to protect even if it involves hurting others e.g. the maid in "The Glass Ballerina". She is currently pregnant with Jin's child, and according to Juliet the pregnancy will kill her in two months like every other pregnant woman who conceived on the island.

New additions to the Lost Book Club
Two books that I keep thinking about the more obsessed I get with Lost and that you guys might really dig:
The Crying of Lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon:
The shortest and most accessible of Pynchon's novels, this one is largely centered around the theme of paranoia. Secret societies and coverups that have been around for centuries, the book is full of clues, a lot of which add up to something and a lot of which are just red herrings that drive you crazy trying to make it all fit together coherently. Reading TCoL49 feels like watching Lost and then emerging back into the real world where everything MUST somehow be related to Lost, I just know it.... (The video game Myst is a similar experience that way.)
Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallce:
My most favoritist book ever ever ever! This is a massive novel with three settings: an elite tennis academy near Boston, an in-patient alcohol and drug abuse treatment facility neighboring the school, a clandestine conversation in New Mexico between a American spy and French Canadian terrorist. This book is a lot like Lost for many reasons, but 3 really big ones. (1.) It's told totally out of order and you are unable to figure out how the years all line up until about halfway through the novel. (.2.) Characters from each of the three settings overlap their lives in ways that they are usually unaware of but that the reader does know about. Like with Lost when YOU know that Kate's father met Sayid in Iraq but Kate and Sayid don't. (3.) The book has been included in discussion of a new genre of fiction called "encyclopedic fiction" where the story tangents on a dizzying number of other real life and esoteric subjects. Just like Lost gets you thinking about magnetism, time travel, pregnancy, redemption, purgatory, Christianity, famous philosophers, etc. IJ gets you thinking about optics, filmmaking, tennis, the politics of AA, Quebec separatists, Boston history, and so on.
Basically, if you a little spare time and you want something amazing that will give you a similar feeling as Lost read The Crying of Lot 49 (less than 200 pages). If you have a LOT of spare time yaddayaddayadda read Infinite Jest (around 800 pages, I think).
