Did anyone else catch this?

OK, this has really been bugging me. In the TV commercials and in print ads (get to that later) did anyone notice that the reflection in the ocean (at the end of the commercials during the title splash) is not of the island, but of the skyscape of a city? Anyone have input on that? Is there any significance or is it just something for freaks like me to obsess over?

Also, I was browsing a copy on Entertainment Weekly (the one with Conan O'Brian on the cover, with his beard) and I noticed an ad for Lost. The ad was pretty typical, with the title splash as described above, but it had the main characters lined up across the spread. The very far left character was unidentifiable to me or anyone I showed. Anybody else notice this? I thought it was Des with no beard and short hair.

OMG I hadn't noticed the skyscrapers before! Well I guess that shows that the losties really are going to be rescued (or at least some of them^^) and brought back to the "normal" world with its big cities etc.

Haven't seen the other image you're talking about, though.

As for the reflection of the cityscape in the water........
The producers have made several references to mirror images. In last nights repeat of episodes 22/23 "Through the Looking Glass" the reference was made in the notes running at the bottom several times....once during Jacks flash forward at the beginning of the show. They spoke of him being a "mirror image" the exact opposite of what he was on the island.
On the island Jack was a leader, he was strong, and determined. In the flash, he was weak, indecisive, ready to give up, and alone.
So, to me the city in the water represents that mirror image of what they will be if/when they return to that world.

I noticed that too about the mirror image.. Jack is like you said the complete oppsite of the Jack we know.. As well Kate appeared to be the opposite as well.. She doesn't have to go back.. Where now she is the first to go back for anyone.. She is settled down from how I understood it as the Kate we know is always on the run.. You get the idea.. I think in FF if this is any indication we are going to see very different sides of the Losties.. Unless of course that is just because of the finale with "through the looking glass" as the title it could just be for that episode.. Guess well know soon enough, since season 4 starts here in 4hrs 11 Mins or for the clip show 3 hours 11 mins

Yes, Yes, very nice. Did you happen to see the ad I mentioned? I'm sure its in other magazines too. Take a look at the guy on the far left and tell me who you think it is. I'll try to upload a pic but I don't think it will work that well.

PS California still has to wait another 3 hrs and 55 mins. My damn east coast friends always ruin something for me...

Do you think it will have something to do with that obituary that jack had about a man that had died in the tower? what I mean is... is that going to be the NEW island that our losties are going to be lost on?... Manhattan?
