Check this out!! White Rabbit/ Through the looking Glass

Ok so rewatching the 1st season this week and was thinking how Episode 1X5 “White Rabbit”(WR) has a lot of paralls to the season 3 finale 3X23-24 “Through the Looking Glass” (TTLG) While I do realize that the Alice and Wonderland reference is there that isn’t what I mean… Check this out…

”WR” Jack is told by Charlie he is not a strong swimmer..
“TTLG” Charlie lies to Jack and swims down to the looking glass and ultimately drowns
I find it ironic though that the looking glass symbol is a white rabbit…

“WR” Locke saves Jacks life and tells him he needs to lead the survivors, even talks him into it..
“TTLG” Locke tells Jack he is not doing the right thing and even threatens to shoot him at the end near the radio tower..

“WR” Charlie kinda takes Claire’s well being into his hands.. Tries to take care of her..
“TTLG” Charlie dies thinking he is doing so to save her and get them rescued
Kind saw this as beginning and end for them.. sorta hehe

“WR” Jack’s dad in his flashbacks is telling him he doesn’t have what it takes.. Not to be a hero because if he fails he just doesn’t have what it takes
“TTLG” Jack in the flashforwards appears to be broken and unstable.. Just as his father said he would..

“WR” Boone asks Jack who made him their savior?
“TTLG” AS IT APPEARS Jack got them rescued and would have been to some of them…

Here are some I know there is more but need to watch again..

Those are some pretty cool parallels Wednighter! I can't believe that the writers actually intended all of them, but on the other hand some are so cool that they couldn't be just happy accidents. The writers for LOsT are amazing!!

In drug culture, "going down the rabbit hole" is a metaphor for taking drugs.] These all seem to apply to Charlie in both episodes, as well. In "WR" Charlie didn't go down the rabbit hole to enter the game or adventure (he had Jack save Joanna); in "TTLG" Charlie does enter the game or adventure when he dives down to the Looking Glass station (instead of letting Desmond do it). Drugs were still a factor in Charlie's life in "WR" (he was going down the WRONG rabbit hole); but in "TTLG" he had finished with them.

And on a side note: I STILL wonder if Joanna was really Bonnie from the Looking Glass Station.

If Joanna were Bonnie, wouldn't she have already met Charlie before? To have infiltrated the Losties long enough to be known by name she had to have met all of them except for Desmond and Bernard - they didn't get to the beach until season 2.

Not to mention the Looking Glass station was a long way from the beach where Joanna drowned.

Joanna is the woman Charlie got Jack to go out and save from drowning, instead he saved Boone who was trying to save Joanna but could not swim well enough..

It ended up that Jack saved Boone and not Joanna she died, later it was shown that Kate was trying to use her passport after she had died...

Oh! So it's being speculated that Joanna was actually Bonnie, or, in any event, that she was really an Other and working down in the Looking Glass?

Well, i always found it odd, but usually if someone drowns, their body washes up onshore eventually. However, what if the two are clones of each other.. or like the two 15 rabbits. Joanna had to die, because bonni already existed and Joanna, well, she had to go! ooooh, just blew your noggins.
