Ana-Lucia Cortez

Ana-Lucia Cortez was an ex-police officer who sat in the tail section of Flight 815 when it crashed. She took a leadership role in the group and led her party across the Island, reuniting them with the rest of the passengers. Ana was known to be very emotionally cold and her background in policing helped her with her leadership role. Ana-Lucia survived on the Island for 65 days before being shot and killed by Michael.

Default Hurley and the numbers.

Ok maybe I'm the only one but Hurley is really pissing me off by not telling anyone about the numbers. For the most part he already knows the numbers are cursed and he hasn't told the people in the hatch this, which could probably help them in the long run. He also knows that Danielle said the numbers were bad as well, and he's seen the corridenants(sp) of the island have the numbers as well. So I ask why the hell hasn't he said anything.

Every time he's tried to talk about the numbers, people blow it off as crazy or nonsense. He's tried, but he knows no one will believe him. Except maybe Danielle.

It's a new start for him too. Maybe he doesn't want a whole new group of people thinking he's totally off his rocker.

I dont think they would think he's nuts, I mean after everything that's gone on they would probably be like "why the f*ck didnt you say something sooner?"

I dont think everyone would think he was nuts either, but i think thats what he's afraid of. He is good friends with most people on the island and he's probably afraid that will change if he tells anyone. I agree that he should tell them and that they probably would like to know about the numbers, but hurley's too afraid they won't look at him the same anymore, like his friends from home did after he won the lottery.

I think that's exactly why he won't push the issue. Look how he agonized over having to deny people the food found in the bunker. He simply doesn't want to disappoint or offend anyone. Also after he talked about winning the lottery, the others joke about it as though it's just one of his fantasies so he seems to have concluded not to give them anything else to complain about or tease him about.

I say regardless he's making a mistake by not saying anything. Jack out of all of them would believe him and Locke would think of it as some "fate" thing.

Jack didn't believe him - especially when Hurley mentioned he got the numbers while at a mental institution. And Locke was so into the hatch, he ignored Hurley's warnings about the numbers.

See? He just can't win.

its like when you keep a secret from your friends to protect them but the longer the secret is kept the more pissed they are going to be. ok your right about jack not believing him, but if he were to tell locke "ok look these numbers keeping popping up everywhere, it has to mean something", locke should believe him.
