Rose Nadler
Rose Nadler (née Henderson) is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. She was on the plane with her husband Bernard, but was separated for 48 days following the crash. Rose is a well-meaning, caring woman who was supposedly healed from her fatal illness after arriving on the island, similar to Locke.

Remember the beginning of the first Matrix movie? Neo is told to "follow the while rabbit." White rabbit is also a slang name for some kind of hallucinogenic drug and the name of a song about that drug, sung by Janice Joplin maybe? ("Don't you want somebody to love? Don't you need somebody to love? Wouldn't you love somebody to love? You gotta find somebody to love..."--'Member that one, kids?) Hallucinogens are also another pathway to an alternate universe. As are plane crashes apparently.

I don't mean to be nitpicky here I just wanted to straighten out some info. The song "white rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane is referring to the stories of Alice in Wonderland, also Through the Looking Glass (the second book) and the books blatant use of reference to drugs i.e. a hooka smoking catepillar, Mushrooms (making things appear larger or smaller through halllucination.) The song is not about one drug in particular. I have never heard of any hallucinogenic drug referred to as white rabbit, but in europe there might be. The only drug I could think of that would be refered to as white rabbit would be LSD, because the paper form usually comes on blotter paper which can have many designs printed upon it, sometimes maybe a rabbit on white paper. Sorry for being so anal chickenpotpies, please forgive me.

Actually in the very beginning of the Matrix, Mr. Anderson is told (by Morpheus via the phone call) to "follow the white rabbit." The guy who comes to the door for the disc has a girl hanging off of him who has a white rabbit tattoo on her shoulder blade. Neo goes with them to the bar where he meets Trinity for the first time.

Lewis Carroll's real name was Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (January 27, 1832 – January 14, 1898
from Wikipedia:

There has been much speculation that Dodgson used psychoactive drugs, however there is no direct evidence that he ever did. It is true that the most common painkiller of the time – laudanum – was in fact a tincture of opium and could produce a "high" if used in a large enough dose. Most historians can infer Dodgson probably used it from time to time, since it was the standard domestic painkiller of its day and was to be found in numerous patent medicines of the time, but there is no evidence he ever abused it or that its effects had any impact on his work. There is no factual evidence to support a suggestion that he smoked cannabis. However, many people regard Alice's hallucinations in the Wonderland, when surrounded by teas, mushrooms and smoking insects, as references to psychedelic substances. This suggestion of psychedelic drug use made him extremely popluar to the counterculture of the 1960s and was a positive way of showing the mainstream that one of their most famous and highly regarded writers also used these forbidden substances. Grace Slick wrote a song, White Rabbit, recorded with both The Great Society and Jefferson Airplane, which depicted Carroll's Alice in Wonderland as a psychedelic drug trip.

Sorry to go so OT, but the books and the song were favorites of mine.

The last hatch is actually called the Door! Or that's what fans call it...that is the one the Others had at their fake village. It was the one that was a door with the Door symbol on it but there was a rock wall on the other side. Apparently, the door is a Golden rectangle, which is something fancy in math.
