Locke's vision in sweat lodge may have been future

At the beginning of season 3 Locke goes into a sweat lodge he prepares to seek knowledge or whatever , the vision he sees is of Boone taking him in an airport and Boone telling him someone needs help... It is Echo who seems to need his help , BUT if you look closely it is as if it is a future airport , Kate is with Sawyer and everyone else just looks like it is AFTER the island . Could it have been a flash of the future as they are rescued and about to go home ???

Impossible. Hurley is typing the numbers into the Hatch computer, Charlie is still alive, and Ben would never work at an airport, lets be honest he doesnt even own a valid passport (well if he grew up on the island there would be no need I suppose). Your theory is abit stupid tbh. Personally I think its just some type of whacked out drug, the producers meant nothing by it only a way to get ecko back and for locke to get his voice back. lol.

Don't listen to Freakazoid, katobe. It's not a stupid theory. It's a neat idea, actually. It does seem to just be a vision, though.

WOW, great job Katobe. I mean think about it, Desmond looks truly happy. Kate and Sawyer seem to be together, like we all are assuming when Kate said she needs to get back home after meeting Jack in the airport parking lot at this seasons end.
This very well could have been Boone warning Locke about what would happen to the future Losties post island. I mean, why IS Ben there.. and hey, you know what you do to people who seem to have no background, are creepy and possible security threats? You make them airport security.. ever been to Newark airport, you'll see what I mean. good work... I always knew this scene wasn't meant for Eko, though all scenes SEEMED to point that way.

I don't have a theory actually, I just watch the show, so don't take it so personally when i express my opinion.

Yeah it is a possible theory but the losties all seem comfortable and not concerned. To me after being on an island with the manipulative Ben they would surely not want to go near him again. So I don't think it is possible that they would know him at that particular moment, but I do see where you are coming from. They are good observations katobe.

Katobe - I've always thought this was an important scene, probably more important than we originally gave it credit. I, for one, kind of passed over it originally, but I think there is probably some interesting clues to be found within it!

Possibly it's meant to be understood symbolically rather than literally, like most dreams. To me, if we are to understand it literally then why are all the Losties all broken up into different areas of the airport and why do many of them not seem to recognize eachother? Any weren't Shannon and Charlie there? I need to rewatch it... So the symbolic meaning of the dream might work better. For example, the fact that Sawyer and Kate are together I think is significant. I think it means that in at least on possible future they work out. But the psychic and his daughter are in it too, right? I really need to rewatch it.

Yeah I think it is an important scene too. A lot of symbolism. Ben is working security and checking the losties, just like on the island he is controling them or trying too. Hurley is connected to the numbers more than the others. Claire, Aaron, and Charlie were becoming a family. Des was in a pilot uniform and he was the pilot of his sailing boat. A lot of other things too, but this is all I can remember at the moment. Anyways cool idea Katobe.

I like your idea, but I think it is a reference as to what was going on at that particular moment in the show. Not really a hint that we would see a flashforward.
