Charly & Plane Crash

As I was rewatching Season 1, I came up with an interesting question.

When Charlie was running from the airplane security, he hid in the bathrooms in the front of the plane, we know this because when He, Jack, and Kate return to the nose of the plane to retrieve the radio he refinds his Heroin in the the bathroom next to the cockpit.

As the plane hits turbulence in the air, Charlie leaves the bathroom, sits down in one of the first few rows of first class and straps himself in. If this is where he was siting as the plane was crashing, how did he end up on the beach???

Do you think this was overlooked by the producers or that there is an explanation for this yet to come?

ahhh good catch my friend. I think this was either an overlook or charlies seat fell out of the plane on the way down when the front broke off from the middle

Maybe he changed seats again...or he fell out, like czaj said.

I actually noticed that yesterday while I was rewatching the season 1 DVDs.
Probably a slip-up.

The seat on the chart was where he was originally. I also wondered though...why wasn't Charlie in first class? He's a bleedin' rock god for crying out loud.

I have thought this same thing -- unless he quickly sat down in business class (which is where Shannon & Boone were) -- that just does not make sense.

ex-rock god it seemed... the fact that nobody really knew him on the island makes me feel he was past his prime.. prob wasted all his cash on his habit so didnt have enough for first class.
