Ana-Lucia Cortez was an ex-police officer who sat in the tail section of Flight 815 when it crashed. She took a leadership role in the group and led her party across the Island, reuniting them with the rest of the passengers. Ana was known to be very emotionally cold and her background in policing helped her with her leadership role. Ana-Lucia survived on the Island for 65 days before being shot and killed by Michael.

I think Charlotte's pbear might have had a few other problems then a time travelling mind. To begin with, it was in the desert. Secondly, it had been burried for a really long time.

Spoiler for Producers comments in pod cast on how the polar bear could have gotten to the desert:
That the there could be other special places on the earth where you can "teleport" like the bunnies in the Orchard Video.. That could be how the polar bear in the desert of Tusnia could be explained

How does a polar bear get into the middle of the desert?
There are properties of the Island that are potentially capable of transporting things from the Island to the outside world. There are hints of how this can happen in the Orchid orientation film. (Contrary to what is stated on the Podcast, Tunisia is not landlocked and has an extensive Mediterranean coastline.)

I am still missing something about this polar bear. Please bear (no pun intended) with me. I am slow to catch on. How is it that he showed up in an archeological dig. I get that he got the whole "Beam me up, Scotty," routine. What I don't understand is how he showed up inder a couple hundered years worth of dirt.
Before someone says, "Time travel!!!" Yeah, I know. That goes without saying. Here is my point. The only time travel we have seen so far is of the mind, not the body. Or am I mistaken?
