Johnathan "John" Locke

Johnathan "John" Locke is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. His paralysis was immediately healed upon crashing on the Island, which has ultimately led him to believe he has some sort of special connection to the Island. He is sometimes shown in antithesis to Benjamin Linus, sharing several traits including the ability to commune with Jacob. Seen as antithetical to Jack Shephard, he and Jack are philosophical opposites and used to share leadership among the survivors, but now seems to be creating his own agenda for his actions on the Island and has broken off from the survivors.

Default Message in the Numbers?

Sorry if this is a repeat, I tried to send it once and I think I 'lost' it...

Hi all, I'm totally new to this... I just started watching three episodes ago, and I am so hooked! I can't wait to get season 1. Anyway, I'm a numbers kinda person, and these numbers are driving me crazy! This is kind of interesting, but it may be a bit of a stretch...

I tried plugging the numbers into the telephone keypad to see if they spell anything. Using only letters, it comes out as gibberish, but mixing the letters and numbers gets this:

4815162342
IT151NAEIA

Read the 1's as I's and the 5 as an S, and you get this: IT IS IN AEIA.

Aiea is a town in Oahu. Oahu is where Lost is filmed. I was much more excited about this until I realized the e and the i were reversed. But Walt talks backwards, so maybe the numbers do? Does anyone know exactly where in Oahu Lost is filmed?

Welcome to the forums Blackbird

Well i think this is a coinsedence. I mean you can fiddle as much around as you want with letters and numbers if you want.. you'll always get something that can relate to the show in any way.

Pretty nice to see other people fidling around with these numbers though so keep it comming

I'm not exactly sure where it's filmed, as I forgot what the tour guide said, but I'm pretty sure it's somewhere around the northern tip of the island. Around Kuhuku Point or Sunset Beach. All I remember is seeing "the valley" that's rather prominent on the show.
