Default I know I did right, why do I feel bad?

I gave my dog away, after much soul searching..He was /is a small terrier(Yorkie x dachund--D'orkie) I'm older,up every 2 hours,He would find things to bark at just as I was going back to sleep. When I went to sleep driveing the chose had to be made.....Now he has a 2 year old human to chase around and be chased by,a baby to clean the floor after, and twoadult humans to take him out and think he's the cutest thing ever, and I can sleep....so why do I feel bad?

I understand completely. I recently gave our 2 year old Lab away. It is hard to let them go. Try and remember that your dog is happy as long as he is being loved. When you start doubting yourself, remember you did the right thing! I promise it will get easier & enjoy your sleep!

I think that possibly the dog is in a better enviroment, and now your enviroment is better for you.

You both win.

Ihave 6 cats and my first dog- a 5 month old. I h ave read every book I could find on dog behavior and really- you feel worst than the dog- as you put him into a good "pack". He'll adjust- it's always hard losing a pet though I'm sorry!!!

Me, well, I'm a man of faith. Do you really think all this...is an accident? That we, a group of strangers survived, many of us with just superficial injuries? Do you think we crashed on this place by coincidence, especially this place? We were brought here for a purpose, for a reason, all of us. Each one of us was brought here for a reason.

I deal with people who are thinking about getting rid of their dogs all the time. It's part of my job. It's a hard thing to give up a dog. We feel like we have failed. Understand that the dog will move past this so much faster than we do. Dogs live in the NOW.
He may have been the wrong breed for you. Or he could have learned that if he barked you would get up and deal with him. Dogs don't see bad attention as anything but attention.
You didn't put him/her down and you didn't abuse the dog. You found that it was to much for you to deal with and you did what you could to make the dog happier. My advice is, learn from the dogs let yesterday go.
Buy the way. I have three dogs and two cats and it's the cat that wakes me up most times. MEEEYOWWWWW!!!!! DANG IT!!!
