Default World of Warcraft

So, I'm on leave. I bought a laptop and in buying a laptop I bought something that friends have been telling me to look into, World of Warcraft. My God is it addicting. You haven't heard from me in awhile, and to let you know I have been keeping up with Lost, downloaded all the second season episodes minus the most recent and still loving it, but it's taken a back seat to WOW. My character. She's a night elf priest, and in the two weeks I have been playing, I've made it to level 30 out of 60. (The highest level will be bumped up to 70 when the expansion comes out). Ten more levels and I will get my steed and up my traveling speed drastically. Now, for all of you that have no clue what WOW is, It's a MMORPG, Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. And oh yes, my character is a chick, haha. You pick a side, you can either be the Horde or the Alliance, both are at war with eachother. I picked Alliance. The Alliance comprises of Humans, Night Elfs, Gnomes, and Dwarves. Soon there will be two new races coming out with the expansion. For the Horde you have The Undead, The Orcs, The Taurons, and the Trolls. You can't speak between the Alliance and Horde in the game, and you are in constant battle as it is a Player Versus Player game (PvP). You live your life in this game as your character with other people in one gigantic society. You have two jobs, I am a tailor and an enchanter. Now, you use your job to make money so you can buy armor or weapons. You can also make money by completing quests. You can also get good experience and items by completing quests. Another fun thing is going through dungeons with a group of people. Fighting side by side taking out elite gaurds and mini-bosses/bosses is awesome. As a priest I am more of a backing force. I have some offensive fighting spells but they are weak, but I more sit behind the warriors and heal them as they fight. I've been playing so much that my mom got mad and I promised that when I got to level 30 I'd take a break until I got to Louisiana, so I did and I'm remiss because I just learned this ability called mind control. It's pretty awesome, since I'm not a fighter class I can take over someone's mind and make them fight their friends, which cuts down the people to fight at once. If anyone has played it, or plays it, give me a shout out ^_^

Haven't lost interest in Lost or you guys, just found the newest thing on the block to occupy my time, So how's this place been doing since I've been gone? Do I need to bust some skulls around here? Heh, Leave is boring. I got totally wasted on St. Paddy's Day, horribly wasted. I wasn't seen at anytime that night without a jack and coke in one hand and a green beer in the other. Haha, I'll cut that story short there.

Kyle

My son just gained a healthy respect for the people on this site, at least one.
He and my husband are completely obsessed. Their characters often help each other. I have almost given up serving meals at the table, because even though I give them 30 then 20 then 10 then 5 minute count downs til
supper time I still have to threaten to turn off the electricity at the circuit breaker to shut down the computers (yes we have two - one was supposed to be mine to do my work on but it has been commandeered by WOW) if
they don't find a stopping place.
Not to make you jealous, NS, but my 14 yr old son is already at level 60.
My husband is only on level 21. My son has to tutor him. So even when
I finally get them to the table they are still discussing it.
I feel your mom's pain.

My son says their server is Hellscream. I thought he was making it up
He told me on the way home from church and I thought he was just being
silly but my husband confirms.
My husband is also a policeman and I several of his coworkers play.
Some of them have called the house asking for technical advice from my son.

Sputnik, my husband and I have been playing together for a year. It's awesome, we love it! I didn't know NEs could be priests...every NE I've ever had has been a druid. But anyway. Currently we are playing on the Ursin server. Ursin is new and not as busy and laggy. I am a cute little gnome mage and my husband is a dwarf priest. We get online with our friends and kick butt with the quests. I'm lvl 36 (4 more from my mount.)

Glad to see another player on here. Enjoy it.

Now 7 levels away from my mount.... I have the gold for it, just gotta wait.... Dang... I'm also in a guild with a couple that plays together, we quest together with this other dude and maybe another random guild member depending on what quests they need all the time. It's a very in depth game where you need to get along with other people to get anywhere in the game. And Night Elf's can be Priests, I don't think there's any class that a Night Elf can't be. I'm thinking of becoming a Rogue or Mage or Warrior after I get my Priest to lvl 60.

And darn't, I wish we could all play together, but asking someone to change servers is like asking them to move form their houses and moving across country, haha.

Yesterday the server for WOW was down for several hours and I thought my son would lose his mind!! We are on Spring Break, so he has been on all day
for the last 3 days. He was doubly furious when they said it would be up by 1:00 p.m. and it still wasn't. I told him that it was 1:00 pacific time and that was 2 hours behind us. It was finally restored last night around supper time
and all was right with the world.
My husband is the same way when one of his sites is down or if our
internet is acting up. He paces around the house like an expectant
father waiting for the server to come back. I always have plenty of
suggestions to help them pass the time - do the dishes for me, vacuum and dust the family room, clean up the computer area, vacuum and dust the living room, my son could rake out his room but for some reason I can't understand
they would rather check the computer every 10 minutes than take
any of my excellent suggestions. MEN!!
I refer to my husband's computer as "the other woman."
