Default Winter Weather

How has your winter so far? Central Texas has had our usual 2 day freeze, now heading back to our usual 60(f) days and 30/40(f) nights. If you'r ever here, and it happens to freeze, stay in,cause NOBODY can drive in snow or ice here, and they all think they can(at 75 mph)

I think the Groundhog was actually right this year. For the first time since I've been here, it has snowed TWO weekends in a row! That never happens! And it was 60 degrees two days before the last snow storm.

Tomorrow, highs in the 50s...TN weather is nuts!

The high here today is 81. Normally during the winter it averages low 70s during the day and low 60s at night. We have "cold snaps" every couple of weeks or so that push us down to 60s daily and 40s nightly, but they never last more that two days tops. A couple of weekends ago, it got down to 33 one night. That was about the coldest I can remember ever here.

The last time it snowed here was January 19, 1977. We had a very light dusting that melted almost immediately. I've only seen snow once in my life, when I was about 6 years old.

I hate snow, I liked it up to the age of 7, past that I have had a reccuring hatred for that abomination of condensation *dramatic pause*, Snow? Dont tell me about snow, I live snow! In the icy tundras of the mid-west, is where I reside, the gods show no mercy to us in this season, only snow and cold!

I NEED HELP!

I lived in Florida for three years, near Daytona, and it snowed a week before we left. Nothing stuck, but it was still a sight to see.

But now, in Ohio, it's cold. Hasn't snowed in awhile, I think the high is about 23 and the low is about 4-ish. Brrr. I don't like it. I hate to say it, but I might be looking foward to moving to California...

If you don't like the weather in TN. just wait a minute, it will change.
Like Tsimer said - we can 3 inches of snow on the ground and the next day
it can go up to 75 degrees.
We have a joke: If you had the heat turned on this morning, turned on the
air conditioning in the afternoon and then turned the heat back on before
you went to bed, you know you're in Tennessee.

I had just turned 3, so I don't remember it at all. I've just seen the pictures. I can hardly believe it was ever that cold here.

Default I grew up in the snow.

I lived in Mt shasta area as a child and there is never a winter without it. I geuss I got use to it. It's been snowing on and off for the past month or so but, not more than a few inches. I can handle it but My husband had an accident in 2003. Six, nine foot railroad ties fell from a fork lift and all but distroyed his feet. He recovered and is doing very well. The doctors said he would never walk again. He is walking just fine but, cold weather is so painful for him we have been thinking of moving to the las Vegas area.

Sorry to hear that Dragonfly.

I love snow and want to move somewhere where it will snow in the winter. My husband hates it and can live without it. Makes chosing where to move to a fun conversation, I'll tell you that.
