Ana-Lucia Cortez
Ana-Lucia Cortez was an ex-police officer who sat in the tail section of Flight 815 when it crashed. She took a leadership role in the group and led her party across the Island, reuniting them with the rest of the passengers. Ana was known to be very emotionally cold and her background in policing helped her with her leadership role. Ana-Lucia survived on the Island for 65 days before being shot and killed by Michael.

I am a man of self preservation. There's no need to trust in a God who probably isn't there, nor in something as unpredictable as science. When it comes to science, there's so much we don't know, and so much that is pushed as the truth when we don't know if it's true or not. I trust in myself, and leave nothing up to faith. If I want a better life, I don't pray to God, I go out and change **** myself. So many christians out there are dependant on a God that they can never see working directly in there lives. I've never seen a miracle happen, no one has. What some believe are miralces, happen to everyday people all the time, making a mountain out of a molehill. Nothing miraculous is going to happen in our lives, and we should own up to that and be the best that we can be.

Gee Sputz, thanks for ruinining my day.
I agree that there are no miracles. I believe that a higher being or beings, just gave us "A nudge out the door"....Gandalf the Grey. Every thing else has been our doing, there are coincedences (contrary to Eko's belief).
I have met, and still know people who pray to a God when they lose a pen, but then criticise me for not understanding why they do things like that. They will gossip and backstab and when I say "oh my God" I am the devil. They then take the reichous higher ground because they are "saved". Though I am not because I do not go to church.
Church is like putting a bumpersticker on the back of your car, you are basically telling everyone else that you are reichous because you showed up. If you understand the bible and you do not go to church then you are considerd a well read atheist. I understand almost all of the ins and outs of the christain bible, but since I do not wear my bumper sticker (going to church) I am a troubled soul.
We make our own miracles. We are playing the most indepth MMORPG of all time. Tracking back to the pen- a higher being did not lose their pen, and the being will not find it for them. Take responsibility for your life, another equal being or they lost the pen and it is that persons responsibility to find it.
And now I end my depressing rant.

^ I'll let you do that, Blackbird. Can't wait to read it.
I'm definitely a person of faith. Not only because I believe in faith, but because I suck at science . No offense to the science minded, but don't knock the faith people, alright? I believe in God and that He is involved in all of our lives everyday...but I won't elaborate. But this is my long answer to a short (but interesting) question.

When I was 8 I was saved by the grace of God, by 12 I was giving sermons in our Youth Group, as soon as I turned 14 I graduated to our teen group and started preaching there. The pastor of my church took me under his wing, he also took my best friend under his wing. He taught at a local bible college, allowed us to attend classes, by 16 I was preaching in our church on Sunday nights, by 18 I evolved in to the person you now know today. Does this mean I know anything about God? No, I was living a lie. I wasn't faking my religion, but now that I look back on it, I have to ask myself if I ever really believed, I was looking for someone to take all my problems away. When I figured that God wasn't doing that, I took matters into my own hands. I was kicked out of my house as soon as my mother found out that I no longer believed in God. She quickly let me back in, but I joined the Air Force, this meant that I had given up my former life and had to start fresh at 18, I wasn't going to bible college, so where better else to go then the military?
I used God as a crutch, as many christians do, my life is better without God. If you believe in God, I respect that, it takes a lot of balls to go against the modern image of life right now. And I'm not saying all christians are the same, in my life I've met one good christian man, someone who full heartedly believe in God and devoted his life to God's word. He's by no means perfect, but that's what he strives for. Funny little story. The man's name is Tim Pool, greatest man alive, but we had just gotten back from coallating like 20,000 spanish new testaments bibles, (Including Psalms and Proverbs) down at this print shop that our church helped support. We're driving down the road, and Tim's a nice size man, and he was trying this Atkin's diet, so when we stopped at McDonald's he got a burger. We were eating in his car, and he started throwing the buns off his hamburger out the window onto a country road. This struck me as odd, why not just throw the buns in your sack and throw them away later, I asked. He told me that his bag was going to go right out the window when he was fully finished he replied. My God, this great man of faith littering on this beautiful world God had built for us, so I enquired further. He reasoned that if Jesus was going to come back someday and take all the christians back to heaven while God burned the earth, then what would a little litter going to hurt if it would also be burnt up in the same fire that is to consume the world. He had a point.

Woo Hoo, this is what I call an interesting topic.
In my life, I am very spiritual, though I am not religious. I follow the preachings of the Bible, though I do not go to church unless I am invited by a good friend.
What I mean is that, the religions out there today take what very wise people wrote and try to put theire own spin on it. We all know that the Catholics (the dudes at the Vatican) think that if you are not Catholic, you will rot in hell. This is regardless to if you understand the bible and bring it in to your life.
Many Christians (not all, Im sure many of you are good people) take a highorse over me because they go to church and different scripture studies. And when they walk out the door, they are the same scumbags that they criticised just a few minutes a go.
I think that most of the big 3 (Christians,Buddhists,Muslims) do mean well. They just do not always show it or act on it. I'm looking forward to you proving me wrong Blackbird.

Yeah, that is what I was trying to say. I am tired of being looked down apon. When people do this, I do not look down upon them, I challenge them to tell me why I should agree with them. We are born with a blank mind all else is what we choose to believe. Sometimes people think that they have the right to choose for you.
The reason I put down faith on the poll ^, is because I have faith in myself, faith in my friends and family, and faith that the decisions I make are the right ones regardless to what other people think.
"The Lord is my sheperd" we are all little sheep,(apologies for the analogy) we are all born equal sheep, and will die equal sheep.
By the way Sputnik, I like your new siganature, the Latin font is pretty nifty.
