Johnathan "John" Locke

Johnathan "John" Locke is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. His paralysis was immediately healed upon crashing on the Island, which has ultimately led him to believe he has some sort of special connection to the Island. He is sometimes shown in antithesis to Benjamin Linus, sharing several traits including the ability to commune with Jacob. Seen as antithetical to Jack Shephard, he and Jack are philosophical opposites and used to share leadership among the survivors, but now seems to be creating his own agenda for his actions on the Island and has broken off from the survivors.

Default Rant/ramble

Rented "10,000 BC"--Now I don't watch movies like most people,if it has an animal in it,the critter had better fit the time frame--
First off, they had some wonderful Mammoths----until they started moveing fast, then they had them GALLOPING like a horse!! Elephant types cannot do that, they move at a fast pace.
Then there were horses being ridden..OK,but they were arabs--------
to say nothing or the Hot Peppers
AND the young hunters were after the people on horseback-who had a bunch of captives on foot..BUT the hunters couldn't catch up
also, they were tracking the riders--up a cliff that the hunters had a problem climbing!!!
It went downhill from there
The Sabertooth was wonderful, but only got 2 spots....
Glad I only wasted $1.00

Also, have you watched "Wipeout"? I have not,and do not intend to..I do not like to watch anyong get hurt for real for the amusement of others..I feel like that kind of thing is contrubting to the air of detachment rampent in America today..

wow, peg. after reading your post, i feel a bit low-brow...

in watching 10000b.c. i have to say i wasn't really paying attention to realism that much because after all its a time period that we cannot reference and i was looking at it as more of a mythic tale...

and as for wipeout...oh, i'm almost embarrassed to say this, but my son and i started watching it because it came on the channel that was already on, on the tv...and we were LAUGHING AND LAUGHING...the punching wall was hilarious, and the big balls! i don't think the people involved got seriously injured, i think they took it all in fun...and i personally enjoyed it. i wouldn't go out of my way to make myself free for the next broadcast, but if i'm flipping channels and it happens to be on, i'll probably watch it again.

Wipeout is flippin hilarious. The contestants dont get hurt. They wear lots of safety suits and such. The funny part is seeing them flail around and fall into water or mud. I think its classic.

Different tastes-- I stopped watching"Troy" because somebody dragged a llama across the screen-llamas only live in South America, which hadn't been invented at that time..
And,the big black horse he was rideing was a Fresian, which also hadn't been invented...
Still won't watch shows that have humilliation as their goal...
