Shannon Rutherford
Shannon Rutherford was a middle section survivor of Oceanic Flight 815 and was Boone's stepsister, who she frequently argued with. She was very selfish at times, though she eventually formed a romantic relationship with Sayid. Shannon survived on the Island for 48 days before she was unintentionally shot and killed by Ana-Lucia Cortez.

time-travel novels
Lost has a lot of time-travel themes involved, so I thought maybe some of you would have a parallel interest in novels about time travel. I'm interested in novels about time travel, but really just time travel that exists within your own lifetime. Here are some novels I've read:
Time Traveler's Wife; the main character travels back and forth in time within his own lifetime, but he has no control of when or where,great read, powerful love story, themes of time travel and fate;
Replay, by Ken Grimwood; about a man who has to "replay" his life over and over again: after dying, he reappears somewhere in his own life again, but he can make different choices. More playing around with fate.
A Shortcut in Time, by Charles Dickinson; about a small town with some sort of time travel "portal"; didn't like it as much because it had an unsatisfying ending . . .
Does anybody else have recommendations for good time-travel fiction?

Péplum by Amélie Nothomb.
But I'm not a big fan of time traveling. Maybe I'm a bit influenced by my cousin who studies physics; He keeps remaining me of the "grandfather paradox": If you go back in time and kill your grandfather, you won't be born, so you can't go back in time to kill your grandfather in the first place! It just isn't possible!!
