Charlie Hieronymus Pace
Charlie Hieronymus Pace was a survivor from the middle section of Oceanic 815. Before the crash, Charlie was the bassist and main songwriter for the rock band Driveshaft. When Flight 815 crashed, Charlie was snorting heroin in one of the plane's bathrooms. Charlie's drug addiction and crippling self-doubt were the biggest obstacles in his life. Like many of the Losties, the crash provided Charlie with a fresh start. On the Island, Charlie formed a relationship with Claire Littleton and her son Aaron.
After avoiding deaths foreseen by Desmond several times, Charlie finally died willingly to save the other survivors. He drowned on day 93, and his death is yet unknown to anyone except Desmond.

Prescient Dreaming
In regards to pchees recent post about Lost nightmares I thought I would open a topic on prescient dreaming, which is when you actually have conscious control over your dreams. A small percentage of the population can do it consistently.
Does anyone on this board prescient dream?
I've been told that people can train themselves to do it, but it is quite a trick.

Same here, I can't control them most of the time. I wish I could, it would have come in handy last night. (Zombie Dream!)

I think lucid dreaming would be super awesome. My dreams are always strange stories that I don't really think I have control over.

I can never even remember my dreams, ever! Obviously I am not very lucid.

I've had a number of prescient dreams when I was a child, mostly trivial things but nevertheless 'prescient'..Like seeing people, animals and peculiar objects in dreams before actually meeting them for the first time.
Lucid dreaming can be learned or improved through practice that involves change in sleeping patters as well as one's diet. Personally I find the idea of controlling dreams a little redundant- I mean if one wants to make a dream 'happen', why not go day dreaming or better, why not work for it? I think dreams are fun cause they're some caleidoscopic vision to the unconscious that's full of mysteries.

Like i said before in this thread, i have had numerous lucid dreams..
In fact i like how this thread comes up right in a time where i think im spiking in lucid dreaming.. last week i had 1 aswell as last sunday and monday.
Anyway its not as cool as it sounds to be honest.. i dont really enjoy having them.. for one i dont feel like ive had any sleep.. like ive been working all night. Also it can get quite intense when you get something like a "False Awakening" a term used to define when you dream you have awoken from sleep. This is so freaking realistic that it can cause something called a "pre-lucid" dream: a confusing state that makes you constantly wonder if you are or are not awake.. It may even cause wetting the bed as when you think you are awake you may dream that you go to the bathroom. I had one a couple of months ago when i realised i was dreaming when i was driving an ambulance and i drove by a building that was pointed to me throught the emergency radio. I looked inside the building and there where hundreds of bodies.. after about an hour of trying to figure out what had caused it, i realised there was a virus and i had to quarentine the place.. locking up a few dozen people inside dying from the virus. It was a pretty scary lucid dream in which i had every control over every situation. I send someone in and he died right on the doorway. I could not control the entire dream though, just parts of it.. but it sure was lucid. Ive had plenty more of those, some i could control entirely, some a bit less.. ive had a couple of false awakenings too. Sure, controlling your dreams may sound pretty awesome.. i usually just find it pretty scary and even worse, it doesnt really help me rest.
