Johnathan "John" Locke

Johnathan "John" Locke is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. His paralysis was immediately healed upon crashing on the Island, which has ultimately led him to believe he has some sort of special connection to the Island. He is sometimes shown in antithesis to Benjamin Linus, sharing several traits including the ability to commune with Jacob. Seen as antithetical to Jack Shephard, he and Jack are philosophical opposites and used to share leadership among the survivors, but now seems to be creating his own agenda for his actions on the Island and has broken off from the survivors.

Before I vote - are all of your choices new to you, or have you been to any of them before?

Well, it depends where you live.
When you live in the U.S., it might not be worth travelling all the way to Europe for only fours days. But I know that Prague is a beautiful city, so if you wanna do a "culture trip", I'd go there. If you're rather looking to relax, I'd go to the Dominican Republic. (That's what I would do if I could^^)

I would got to Spain beautiful place, lots of culture and life. Of course Kiwi has a point about only being able to go for four days. Still that is where I would go.

somewhere close. you want to spend less time actually travelling than the time you have left to relax and enjoy.

I voted "somewhere in the US" but didn't I read somewhere you're from Canada? In that case I'd stick close to home.

I'd suggest Cuba as one other option. Unless you live in US and have to travel first to Canada for your flight, it would be a worthwhile travel even for 4 days. Varadero has beautiful beaches and is at a convenient distance to La Habana for daily trips, although beaches on the south coast are just as fine. Safest and most cultured location of the Caribbeans (and Cubans are rightfully proud of it).

You know you can't even do that anymore. Used to be that you could fly as an American if you went through Montreal first. The current Bush administration put a stop to that. Now, if you are caught in Montreal (or anywhere else) trying to get into Cuba with ONLY an American passport and you don't have family there, it's $7,500! (Which no doubt goes straight to weapons to use in Iraq and not towards providing proper healthcare to the troops once they're back home, but that's another issue entirely.)

The pettiness of this ridiculous administration kills me! Let's hold a grudge and economically disadvantage a MUCH smaller country that poses absolutely no threat to us just because they chafed us back in the 60s and we're bigger and we can! Yah! I really think 1 way that America could regain some respect in the international community is to end the Cuban embargo. Tell the world: hey, we can let it go because we're not bullies. I'm sure it will be a very low priority no matter who is elected in November and that is a real shame.

But, yes!, I would totally go to Cuba in a heartbeat if I could...I must see about getting a Canadian passport.

Stepping down off my soapbox.
