Benjamin "Ben" Linus
Benjamin "Ben" Linus is the leader of the Others on the Island. Ben arrived on the Island as a child, brought by his father Roger to work for the DHARMA Initiative. Ben takes orders from Jacob, and is the only person who visits and speaks with him. Ben's apparent goal is to keep the Island and its special properties secret from the outside world, and he goes to great lengths to achieve this.

Cursed lottery winners
I caught an E! True Hollywood Story episode last night called something like Curse of the Lottery Winners. Thought you guys might be interested. Though these winners, who had terrible things happen to them after winning huge lottery amounts (death, suicide, overdoses, bankruptcy, jail, murder, etc.) weren't so much cursed as really screwed up people to begin with who could suddenly afford to be really really screwed up. Money doesn't really change people, I don't think, it just greatly magnifies whats already present in a personality.
