M.C. Gainey (Tom) in Wild Hogs
My mom and sister were in town and because it was a monsoon outside we decided to take in Wild Hogs at the theater. It wasn't even as awful as I expected. The best part, however, was when M.C. Gainey turned up as one of the bad-ass bikers led by Ray Liotta. Ironically, Liotta played a character named "Jack", so Gainey ended up saying things like "You should listen to Jack", "Jack's right" and in contrast to Lost that was awfully funny.
I'll give the movie (up until the last 5 minutes) a generous 7 out of 10, but an easy 11 out of 10 for the last 5 minutes when not only do I get to see Ray Liotta cry, but they do a great parody involving Ty Pennington and the Extreme Makeover Home edition. There was also a token appearance by the father and son behind American Choppers.
Also got to give props to John C. McGinley for playing the gay motorcycle cop. Anyone who can try to put the moves on John Travolta, Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence, and William H. Macy and keep a straight face has plenty enough balls in my book.
