Joe Rogan vs Carlos Menstealy

Has everyone seen this confrontation between Joe Rogan and carlos mencia at the comedy store.

Joe got on stage and confronted carlos about stealing jokes from other comedians and using them. Joe also showed the bits from the original comedians side by side. Carlos real name is Ned Holness, his father was German and his mother is from Honduras with the maiden name mencia.

The guy's a fraud, but just like Dane Cook, who also is not funny and steals jokes, Carlos mencia will make money and continue to have a show on comedy central because he is the only prominent young hispanic comedian. Dane Cook is a young good looking comedian and that is why those 2 will be successful, becuase of their youth and they are able to get the hispanic and suburban viewers.

Its sad, but in hollywood its about looks and personality, it doesn't matter if you can write your own material.

I absolutely hate Carlos Mencia, and Dane Cook. Both disgraceful joke stealing moneygrabbers.

There was one particular episode of Carlos's that was pretty funny, but other than that I don't care for him. Dane Cook is cute. Ha ha

well I loved the joe rogan video of him tearing menstealia's act apart... I was passing it round last week.... everyone one has repsonded in like.

i will however respectfully disagree with you cats... I dont know how often you go to comedian clubs where you live... ( if you havent been to a live comedian act then you should not be commenting on this post) But i have been to A lot. I have heard the "evidence" and arguments tons of times... but i have also seen all the comics invoved in this "fabricated issue" ...in particular Louis CK and steve martin...

Thier acts are different, their delivery is different, and the so called-"stolen material" is only posted on the internet OUT OF CONTEXT.. which is exactly what people do when they want to SPIN something THEIR WAY! ( think george w bush ). These 3 of comedians are in no way the same as what Carlos Mencia Does!! He Literally has ostrisized himself from the comedian community...

Its true that some people are just plain jealous of Dane cook's explosion of success. There is no greater negative force in this world than jealousy. Wanting what others have is bad enough, but its worse to let it cause you to forget what you are doing here on this world. I mean these people ( those on the internet fueling the fire) make thier life, to bring other people down... These people should be focusing on thier lives...

louis CK wrote a halarious movie called POOTIETANG. His comedy follows a similar veign. (VERY DIFF from Dane...) I love the guy for his unique comedy. and i also love steve martin. ( who deosnt? ) the only other comedian i knnow of hating on dane is Andy Kindler... (and you havent heard of him for the very reason you think... hes not funny. )

There comes a point in everyones life where you have to pick your battles. I personally think that Laughter is the key to living longer and bringing people together from different backgrounds. WE CAN ALL LAUGH AT OUR SIMILARITIES TOGETHER!!! I have never laughed at carlos mencia... Hes just not funny. that is my opinion.. you are obviosuly entitled to yours...

but lets never cloud our judgments with shoddy evidence and speculation... Otherwise it will be the salem witch trials all over again... ( killing innocent people out of fear, or becuase they didnt share your beliefs... )

You dont have to like dane cooks humor, or the way he acts. maybe it reminds you of the bully who picked on you in high school. Thats YOUR issue, obviously. no one says we all have to like everybody. but jumping on a hate bandwagon will never solve anything. I gaurantee if there was ever a chance for dane and louis to talk on stage like carlos and joe did.... niether of them would be anywhere near the pitiful calibur of carlos mencia.. they are both far more articulate and comedic and I am sure that a peaceful resolution would be reached.

carlos mencia knew it ( that he is a fraud ) and his behaviour when confronted proved how little talent and maturity he really has.

Carlos did a funny bit on Craig Ferguson's show,I was laughing pretty hard. So he's funny sometimes.

It's the same thing, basically, as people saying Denis Leary stole from Bill Hicks. Now, don't get me wrong, my slavering fandom for Hicks far surpasses that for Leary, who is merely ok. But to say Leary, who typically does routines about 'coffee-flavored coffee' and his kids sticking sandwiches in his VCR, stole from Hicks, whose routine involved drug-induced mind expansion, conspiracy theories, and verbally abusing stupid audience members, is a bit far-fetched.
