Nikki Fernandez

Nikki Fernandez was one of the middle section survivors from Flight 815 and is first introduced in "Further Instructions". She had spent most of her time on the island trying to recover the $8 million diamonds she and Paulo had stolen from Zukerman, her staged lover, before the crash. She received a Medusa spider bite that induced a deathlike paralysis and she died after being buried alive alongside Paulo.

Default Yet another rescue!

It's odd how often I end up with unwanted and neglected beasties. This time it's a gunea pig named Harry Potter. I got the call today (12-22-06). As of the 6th of 2007 he will be the latest addition to our little zoo. Only an animal lover like myself would think a unwanted, inbred, seldom touched furball who has been bounced from home to home for the past three years, is a wonderful Christmas gift. Never again will I spend money to bring home a pet. There's no point in it. all I have to do is wait on the calls. It WILL happen again and again. I need a farm! I'm running out of room. The funny thing is I love it. I wouldn't change a thing. Happy Holidays everyone!!!

Very nice, congratulations on getting your little furball. What you're doing for animals is great, if I had the money to have adopted pets I would, my relatives adopted many pets.

You're great Dragonfly. Put a little red bow on his head for the holidays. My sister had a guinia pig when we were growing up. We kept it in the basement and the darn thing would squeal it's head off every time we opened the fridge upstairs. He expected lettuce and carrots every time the door was opened.

Good for you dragonfly! Guinnea pigs are great little pets. But like it was said above they do resemble pigs in lots of ways... and Happy Hollidays to everyone!!!

As a kid I was always bringing home strays. My mom told me it was an every month accurance. They seemed to just know that I would help them. As I got older I realized I needed to be aware that it would happen. The animals just show up for the most part. It's like we have a sign on our door. To date, I think the number of rescues are getting close to tripple digits. The odd thing is that if they stay with us most of them live longer than expected. I say it's happiness; my husband says it's because I'm an animal fountain of youth. A rat that should have lived three to five years almost made it to eight. We had a Yorkie that lived to be nineteen. A Irish Wolfhound who's fourteen. A childhod cat who lived to be almost twenty. I guess they just don't want to give up a good thing. That's okay they keep me young too.

Oh my gosh the pain I put my dad through, constantly finding an injured or stray pet. Birds, bunnies, dogs, cats even a deer. My dad is not so much of an animal person as I am but he always turned out to love them after awhile.

I know what that's like. My husband had a rule that there was to be no more than 3 animals in our care. That lasted about a year. At one point we had 13. Granted 9 of them puppies. Give your dad a big hug it's not an easy thing to live with us.
