How cats say they love you.

We live right next to a pretty large feild. A few nights ago it started getting cold and we even have snow on the ground right now. That means that the field mice find there way into our nice warm house. I noticed one the other day and thought, Oh no, with two cats in the house I may be finding a dead mouse now and then. Yahtzee, our black cat even started to camp out in the kitchen watching for them. Then it happened...We're in bed watching T.V. when we hear him race down the hallway to our bedroom like the devil himself is after him. He leaps over my husband and into my lap where he dropps a twitching half dead mouse, as if to say I love you Mom. I brought you dinner, and it's still warm and kicking. It took everything I had not to get sick. I thanked him and took the poor thing outside to pass on in peace. Then I washed my bedding. I still hear the sounds of another one in there somewhere. I'm sleeping very light these days. God, forbid he brings me another little gift as I sleep.

I know what you mean I have two cats and I can't tell you how many mornings I've gone out on my porch and stepped on or nearly stepped on a dead mouse, bird, or one time a toad, and theres Heidi(My cat) looking up at me like" Are you proud." Kinda funny.

Well,they can't work the microwave----mine are not allowed out(hawks,owls and coyotes) but they can reach out the windows and catch grasshoppers-BIG grasshoppers that they have lots of fun with with till I throw them outside...

Where I live there are the apartments outside cat(s)... She likes to leave little presents for us too... The apartment I live in is in a fairly wooded area so, lots & lots of little critters for them to go find

I called my mom to tell her the story, and she reminded me that one hot summer day Patches, her calico hopped up in her lap and horked up a mouse head on her bare leg. YUMMY! You got to love'em.
