Hugo "Hurley" Reyes

Hugo "Hurley" Reyes is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Hurley's father disappeared when he was at a young age for almost 17 years. Afterwards, Hurley suffered an eating-disorder and after a traumatic accident he was sent to a mental asylum when he started seeing an imaginary person. Ever since, he has changed and has been extremely concious of his sanity and how people view him. When Hurley won the lottery, he was not overjoyed, instead he was fearful that his life was going to change. Hurley is typically happy-go-lucky and keeps the spirits of his fellow survivors up. He has an eating disorder but has managed to overcome that with the help of Libby, and has even stuck to it after her death. He is also the voice of reason in the group, and uses his common sense to solve difficult situations. Ever since winning the lottery with the mysterious numbers, he has searched for an answer for the curse of bad luck that supposedly plagues him.

Default Film Thread

Well, I like the thriller type but also psychological dramas.
My favourite films are:
The Green Mile
Monster (thank you mister bush)
Monthy PYthon and The Holy Grail
Saw
The Shining (Kubrick version)
Elephant
Big Fish

And I also like some romantic comedies even though it is rare: but I must say that Love Actually was a great film.

I am pretty much into film making, I write scenarios for amateur films and have recieved a youth scenario award at the Swiss Ceremonies.
Just wanted to do a bit of publicity.

It's hard for me to pick a favorite movie. But if the show is good, I don't care what genre it is, I'll watch it. I watch chick flicks, dude flicks, kid flicks, and skin flicks.

Kyle

Number 2: The Princess Bride.

No. 1 in my race by too many lengths to count: The Searchers
No. 2 might be pretty much any of John Wayne's other movies after the B westerns and before he started producing all his own stuff via Batjac productions.
After that some unnumbered favorites include:
Outlaw Josey Wales
The Long Riders
Eddie and the Cruisers
Last of the Dogmen
Gettysburg
Gods and Generals
Saving Private Ryan
The Hallelujah Trail
Casey's Shadow
The Omen
and the odd one in the bunch -- the film version of Pirates of Penzance (with Kevin Kline and Linda Ronstadt).

I also like a lot of SciFi (especially with a time-travel theme) and horror movies but wouldn't classify any of them as top favorites.

Man on the moon.... Andy Kaufman was a true genius.
Shaun of the dead... Simon Pegg is also a genius
Spider-man 1 & 2... Or anything Sam Raimi has directed
Chopper... Enough said
Trainspotting... Ewan McGreggor is a fellow Scot + my son is named after him
Casino... Brutal, need I say more?
And...
Final Destination... Bit weak but the fist of its kind to utilise the digital phenominon and also the first to have a faceless killer (I think)
