[The scene opens inside the Hatch, happy Bob Marley music playing, Jack is washing dishes, Sayid is fixing the projector ...]

Jack asks Sayid, "Any luck?"

Sayid expounds "I cannot fathom how Locke could jam such a simple mechanism so completely. However, I am sure I can manage it."

Hurley suggests helpfully, "Try swapping the red wire with the blue wire."

Sayid says nothing, but only glances at Hurley mournfully.

Just then, there is a loud crash, as Locke pulls the bookcase down on himself. Eko lifts the bookcase in one hand and Locke in the other, and then places Locke on the bed "I will get the doctor."

Jack enters the bedroom, and says "I can fix it," and begins to open Locke's shirt. He gasps when he sees no blood, but rather a mass of gears and wires! "My god, it's like angel hair, um, gears and wires!"

Sayid, looking over Jack's shoulder, peers at Locke's open chest cavity, and suggests, screwdriver in hand, "Maybe I should handle this."

Locke just grins weirdly at Jack and Sayid.

Hurley faints and Eko says, "I will pray for him, um, it."

[Scene switches to the beach and we see Charlie sitting in the sand all alone. He is staring at the ocean longingly and has a dazed look in his eye. Kate walks over.]

"Have you eaten anything today?" asked Kate, looking down at Charlie.

Charlie is silent for a moment before replying. "I wasn't aware of the fact that you were my nanny," he said coldly. "I can take care of myself, thanks."

Kate looked slightly taken-aback at his statement. "You need to eat, though," she persuaded, not letting his attitude get to her. "And stay hydrated," she added.

Charlie looked up at her, his eyes accusing and harsh. "I don't need you to watch over me, Kate. I can take care of myself," he repeated. He stood up and started walking into the jungle, fed up with the way he was being treated.

Kate watched him go for a moment before sighing and turning back towards the campsite. She ran into Ana-Lucia, who forced a smile.

"What're you doing?" she asked Kate innocently.

"Attempting to get from one side of the beach to the other. Do you mind?" she asked, trying to move around the other woman. But Ana-Lucia blocked her path and gave her a death glare.

"There are two Jack groupies on this Island! And only one of us is going to get any!" said Angry-Lucia, Kate responds by saying "Well, lets settle this once and for all in a competition.......A second Island open golf tournament!"

The two women searched the tee area but, could not find the clubs,or the balls, Even the flag was missing from the hole on the horizon. The sun was setting in the distance, They would have to make their way back to the beach soon.
They turned to see a familiar face. Sawyer stepped out of the evening shadows of the tree line. "Evening Freckles, Ana Looney bell, Seems the guns aren't the only thing I took." His smile had the arrogants of a cat toying with a mouse. "If you want 'em' your gona' have to trade me something for 'em."
Ana Lucia Smiled back and he hard shell seemed for a molment to crack. if only a little. "I think I have something for you." she cooed as she stolled up to Sawyer.
Kate watched with mixed emotions as Ana Lucia moved in very close.
Sawyer's grin widened and a victorious spark shown in his eye right up to the molment she kicked him in the shin, and stormed of towards the beach
Kate ran to catch up to her and Giggled "We might have more in common than I thought."
They could still hear Sawyer's moins of pain as he faded from their sight.

[Meanwhile, back in the Hatch, Lyrics "Don't Worry, Be Happy" playing in the background ...]

Sayid, elbow deep in Locke's metallic chest cavity says, "Ah, I have found a possible cause for the malfunction. There appears to be the head of a Barbie doll wedged in the central gear sprocket ..."

Just then, the Alarm goes off, and Locke hops up tossing Sayid, Jack, and Eko aside like ragdolls, to race for the computer terminal.

As Locke sits down at the terminal, Walt appears by his side dripping wet, and says, ".setunim 801 yreve tuodts eht ot srebmun eht epip ot batnorhc elpmis a pu tes I .metsys XINU a si tI. eromyna nottub eht hsup ot deen t'nod uoY"

Locke looks at Walt with big round eyes, and says "It is my destiny. Go dry yourself off and play with some knives kiddo."

Walt rolls his eyes and mutters "toidI" to himself as he leaves before anyone else sees him.

Sayid, Barbie doll head in hand peers closely at it and declares "Why, it has an appearance much like Claire. What could this MEAN?!!!" Eko refuses to answer. Jack snorts, "It means nothing, it's just a doll head. Get a life." Just then, Claire walks in from the shower area, and all heads turn toward her. Claire says, in a very nasally Australian accent, "Why is everyone STARING at me? I HEARD what you said! BARBIE doll?!! Charlie TOLD me there is medicine here in the HATCH Jack. WHY didn't anyone tell me before I went TRAPSING off to the MEDICAL bunker? WHY Jack? WHY?!!!"

Sayid whispers to Jack, "I think we better get her some peanut butter, quick, before she hurts one of us." But before Jack has time to get the peanut butter, Eko whacks Claire over the head with his Jesus stick, and then says to her gently, "We were only staring at you because you have nothing on."

Claire blushes shyly, and says "Oops, my bad. Excuse me a minute" and returns to the bath area.

Just then Locke yells from the library area, "You better come look at what is behind the bookshelf..."
