Johnathan "John" Locke

Johnathan "John" Locke is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. His paralysis was immediately healed upon crashing on the Island, which has ultimately led him to believe he has some sort of special connection to the Island. He is sometimes shown in antithesis to Benjamin Linus, sharing several traits including the ability to commune with Jacob. Seen as antithetical to Jack Shephard, he and Jack are philosophical opposites and used to share leadership among the survivors, but now seems to be creating his own agenda for his actions on the Island and has broken off from the survivors.

Hey , I agree about the button thing , STOP pushing it and see what happens . Regarding the "incident " or the lack there of , I believe when Michael communicated on the computer something did happen , we just haven't seen it yet . The incident could have been put into motion at that time and will play out , I have a feeling it may have something to do with the mind , like michael went sort of crazy and took guns and ran off , and Charlie really hasn't been himself and Locke , he lost his temper that time in the hatch which is totally out of character for him etc...you know like one of the Star Trek episodes where the disease is of the mind . What did the french chic say about them getting infected and she had to kill them all .....was it a physical or mental disease ?

I don't think she really said, she just said they got sick, or they got the sickness.

Unhappy

Well, on the clip it cut out the part where it tells you what happens if the password is not executed, same goes for the same clip on the Dharma site, cut out pretty much.

And besides, Jack would have had a higher chance of saving Boone if he knew what caused him to fall. Falling off a cliff and a plane would be pretty much the same though.

Kate: Jack's losing it, that's all.

Jack: Sawyer got my damn girl...
Eko: I will pray for her.
Jack: Pray for her what?
Eko: Pray for her to come to you.
Jack: Dude, you don't even know her name!
Eko: Don't talk about my daughter Yemi!

Ben: I love you Juliet!
Juliet: I guess I'm out of the love club...

I don't think Locke is evil. He does keep a cool head when everyone is
running around panicked and that makes him look aloof and uncaring.
Maybe he doesn't share much because everyone else will think he's crazy.
He has his moments, like beating up Charlie and slinging the dishes on
the floor, but for the most part he is the most level headed of the group.
I may be too trusting, but I think it is Locke who will outthink the
Others and figure out what the island wants.

p.s. Big Fan, I just looked at your Avatar closely - it is hilarious!!!

I love Locke... he reminds me of my dad. Quiet, wise, believes deeply in something, and once in a while loses his temper!

Did anyone notice that when Zeke confronted Jack, Locke, and Sawyer, he (Zeke) referred to Locke as "Mister Locke"?

I think he called everybody else by their first names, and I thought I detected a bit of sarcasm in the way Zeke said 'Mister.'

Zeke? using sarcasm? no way.

But I do like Locke's quiet style. He sits back and feels out the situation.
I'll have to go back and replay that scene with Zeke and "don't cross
this line."

I think it was because he respects Locke, if that was what he really said.
