Locke and the 7 Virgin Marys

Lock said he was superstitous (forgive me if I spelt that wrong) About smashing the statues, and was keeping them for medical reasons. Two questions.
1.Is heroin something that can be used that way?
2. Anyone else have any superstitions?
Not much here my lucky number is 13 and I own a black cat.

Maybe he actually believes Jack is clever enough a chemist to convert it into an opiate/pain reliever...but I doubt it!

The Herione could definetly be coverted in to a pain reliever, or he is planning to drug someone

so they can do what he wants.

I think that superstitions are very silly, we choose our own fate.

?How did the heroin get in the Marys? They are already made/painted/fired when Eco buys them..no way to get it out but smash them......does not compute..

HMMM...VERY GOOD POINT!

I also wondered that during last season when they found them. I assume that it was just a flaw in the show.

I've always wondered about how they got the drugs in the statues. I just kind of go with it though...
And I missed the first three or four minutes of the show, so I'm not really sure what's going on. But yeah, superstitions are odd and silly.

As an artist on the side. I sculpt. there are ways. If the pieces are made by molds, and he bought 300 of them, it can be put in before the base goes on, or is clued together.( molded in two piece front and back.)
It would have been nice to have an explanion. Two seconds of smoeone putting them in and sealing them up.

I just realize I used "lucky number" in a statement about not having superstitions. Oops! Oh Well! I'm not above Saying I was wrong.

Maybe there's a hole in the bottom, like most solid piece statuettes. Since the heroin was in a baggie, it would be easy to push them in and harder to pull them out. And I wouldn't think any mass produced statue has any value to the castaways. Not sure though... just a theory.

FYI I cant find a screen cap to confirm it...but Im pretty sure there were only 6 statuettes when Locke put them there 2 weeks ago. They seem to be multiplying....immaculately, of course...
