Jin-Soo Kwon

Jin-Soo Kwon (Revised Romanization of Korean (RR): Gwon Jin-su, McCune-Reischauer (MR): Kwo(n Chin-su) is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Jin was born into a poor upbringing with his fisherman father which he has always been ashamed of. After meeting and in order to marry Sun, the love of his life, he was forced into working into his father-in-law's mafia-type business in which he takes part in horrid tasks. This has made him almost scared of what he is capable of. Due to this, he was over-controlling of Sun in their late-marriage stage. Jin is the only survivor to not speak the native language within the group - English. This has caused a constant language barrier but after Sun revealed she spoke English to the group, this helped him overcome this struggle and has managed to pick up disconnected words and phrases.

Hurley, the lottery and the numbers is probably one of the greatest mysteries and you see the numbers everywhere - even in real life!

I also voted for Hurley, his numbers investigations were very intriguing not to mention funny.

I had a hard time, because I also like the story of Hurley, and the numbers thing is way intriguing. Also would like more of the Jin/Sun (find out
what convinced Jin to finally flee Mr. Paik) I chose Locke because his
background should have made him a bitter old man. Abandoned by both parents - I did get the impression he was raised in a loving foster home -
used by his father, paralyzed - all are reasons to just whine and make excuses about what a victim he is - but he has risen above all that and
seems to like who he is.

Hurley was my choice too, primarily for the same reason -- his was the first to really get into the numbers as something more than just obscure clues and coincindences.

I wish they'd give Locke some more of a background. He's interesting, he's not my favorite character, but the most interesting back story in my mind. I want to know how he lost the ability to walk, how the island cured that, and I would like to know how he got all the mad skills he now has. I also wonder if he actually does have any kind of military background, was calling Locke Colonel just a joke on them playing Risk, or did he actually do some time in the Corps. We know he worked at a department/toy store, which if you all didn't know, those of us in the military, our dream of retirement is just to get out of the military and not do ****, so we all plan on becoming wal-mart greeters. No joke, you ask everyone that plans on staying in the military long enough to retire, (20 years) and they'll tell you, they plan on getting out and working in a department store handing out carts. Actually, it's true, but we're all joking. But we also know Locke worked at the Box company and all that jazz. What also happened with him and his father, or him and Peggy from Married with Children. So much I want to know, and I don't think they are giving him the time he needs.

Kyle
