Kate Austen
Kate Austen is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Kate is a fugitive, and was being pursued by Marshal Mars prior to the flight, for blowing up her father. Kate had been captured in Australia and was being escorted back to the United States before the crash. Kate has always seemed to run away from her past. Even on the Island, Kate exhibits a kind of evasive behavior to escape from her problems. Kate, when on the run, always had good intentions and never did any outright harm or killings to anybody, she believed she was doing things for the greater benefit of others. This view is prominently connected with her actions of her father's murder - she believed she was relieving her mother from his abusive presence. Kate is strong-willed, useful and clever, but dislikes being alone and is usually level-headed.
She has escaped from the captivity of the Others with Sawyer, and has formed an ambiguous romantic relationship with him, despite still being unsure about her feelings for Jack.

What do you mean Richard lost his vision? By "vision" do you mean his hunch that John Locke was meant to be a leader on the island? If so, his vision was accurate all along, John just wasn't ready until he was much older.
If Richard really could time travel it would be easy for him to learn whether or not John really was the right person. If not, there would be no reason to get upset when John failed the test because he could just go back in time as many times as he needed to find the right kid. The fact that he was upset, told me that John was the right person, but that Richard and the Others would have to wait for him to grow up more. Just my thinking. But, then again, what the heck do I know? I'm as lost as everyone else.
Lastly, is Abaddon the guy you call "The Haitian"? Do we know that Abbadon is actually Haitain? Was that said somewhere or is it just a guess? I'm pretty confused about that.

The "600 knives" thing was just an offhand sarcastic comment by Charley.
BLACKORCHID:
I believe that Richard is John's bio-dad. And I'm still not convinced that Jack/Claire's dad is Jacob.. (even though we're suppose to believe that based on tonight's episode).

Tonight's episode (and earlier episodes) explain that Christian is Claire and Jack's father, not Jacob. Is that what you meant to write?

Richard was way off base.

Christian even says that he only speaks on Jacob's behalf. It wouldn't have been scripted that way if he was Jacob... or even if it turns out that he is, the writers don't want us to believe that at this point.
I mean, when I answer the phone and someone asks for Kate, I say "this is", not "I can speak on her behalf".

I think he said he could speak on his behalf to avoid explaining that Jacob was not a real person, neither was the Christian that was in the cabin. he was obviously concerned with immediate action and didn't want to explain the true nature of Jacob.
To reiterate my point, Jacob is not a real person, unless he just sits in that dark, dank cabin all day everyday hoping someone comes by to visit.
