Kate really bugged me in "The Shape of Things to Come" with her bare shoulder and comehither flirty looks to Jack. I've been inclined for 4 seasons now to cut Kate a lot of slack about her role in the love triangle because she's had a tough life, men have lied to her her whole life, she has trust issues, etc. But you can really tell in this episode in particular that she's going our of her way to make sure both men are hanging on her decision, just waiting and panting over her. Not nice, Kate, and not classy at all! Ugh.

i too have been trying to figure out kate's deal. i think she loves jack but is attracted to sawyer.

Spiritual mate is Sawyer.. Idealized mate (according to worldliness) is Jack. But, in the end.. she ends up with neither of them.

Kate is a bit opportunistic, (to say the least), but she didn't want anything to do with the funeral (which I assume is Sawyer).. and she really didn't want anything to do with Jack, (in the future).

I lost interest in her character a long time ago when she bounces between men. she's useless to my enjoyment now.

I think she wants who ever is the best option around. On the island Sawyer was a hottie with the potential to be a great leader. I don't know if Sawyer makes it off the island (I kinda think not), but back in the real world Jack is a spinal surgeon. Hard to beat that. I think she can't be alone. I thought she wa so strong and independent all this time. I feel kind of duped.

Chickenpotpies, now we know that Sawyer chose to stay on the island and still Kate is doing something for him. I do think that Kate attaches to anyone who will be some protector, security, etc. Generally, I have to agree; she's weak and I'm a bit tired of so many episodes being focused on her.

I think that Kate & Sawyer have such raw passion for each other. Her and Jack are boring and he's insane and on drugs! lol I <3 jack, but kate & sawyer just seem more right for eachother.
