take your pick....either induced coma or cryogneically frozen. In either case, he should be able to return somewhat wholly to who he was before that. But again its just a possibility, as it is to have over 70 people survive a plane crash that would normally leave no trace of anyone alive. That is definitely a statistical anomaly at the very least

Well this is true, but since it was only Shannon who saw him the next morning would she have the knowledge to know what rigor mortis is or looks like?

Besides, i really don't believe my own theory on this either, but it bears possibility when you consider all of the other unusual ocurrences that have happened on the island.
