James Ford

James Ford, better known by the alias of "Sawyer", is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Sawyer's early life was ravaged by the con man who ultimately claimed both his parent's lives through conning them, instantly orphaning him. As a child, he wrote a letter to this con man, hoping to deliver it to him in person one day. Sawyer set out to search for him, presumably after he left school, however he, himself, ultimately became a con man and became the man he was hunting, became Sawyer. Revenge plays a big part in Sawyer's life, starting with the real Sawyer. On the island, Sawyer has often used his abilities to con people to get his wishes, and keeps a stash of useful items with him. However, after the death of the real Sawyer, he has begun to rethink his ways and is slowly turning into a leader for the survivors.

He escaped from the captivity of the Others with Kate, and has formed a relationship with her.

Oh I don't think its Ana or Sawyer. It'd be Walt, if he comes back *btw, he's totally coming back tonight- if the papers are correct with the title: "Lost... and Found" for tonight* Walt was the most well off before the crash, he'd be used to presents. On the island, he wouldn't be too happy a camper, now would he? Sawyer hadn't anything to look forward to as a child and Ana Lucia is too indifferent.

I don't agree about Walt. He was very well off before the crash - Nanny,
private school etc. But I don't think his mother and Brian were very affectionate -
(we know Brian wasn't and his mom was too busy with her career). Also they
moved around a lot - to a totally different country each time so he probably didn't
have many friends.
But he loves the island -so much so he burned the raft to keep his dad
from leaving. He has friends he can see all the time and if I know 10 year old
hearts - he is probably not too upset there is no school.
Of course spending Christmas with The Others probably will dampen
his spirit a bit.

p.s. She was not Michael's wife - He was not good enough for her to marry.
