So if I understand you guys correctly, you are writing that you don't like Michael? *giggle* Well, settle down because we know we are going to see him, his name is all over the opening credits this season. I hope he comes back and redeems himself in some way - he has got to be one of the top three most hated characters on Lost. Maybe he will come back and make it right - he will save the O6 or something!

Yeah, I know he's coming back. And thats truely unfortunate. Maybe he will rise to the challenge and do something awe-inspiring. Not likey, though.

I think if we could have seen Desmond and Libby see eachother on the island.. I don't know if there would have been any answers but just the fact that 3 years earlier Libby gave him a boat and then crashes on the same crazy island.. I am sure they would have had something to say to eachother.. Maybe Des would have said something like, what ya didn't think I would return the boat.. LOL or So much for running the race for Love...

Anywho, I think it is going to be intresting to have Michael come back and how the survivors are going to react to him.. Like Hurley.. I don't like Michael for the same reason and I think Lizard2112 said.. He is a selfish jerk who killed and tricked people he was supposed to be "friends" or at least the same team.. He didn't care if there was going to be a plan to get Walt back, he lead good people into a trap all to save himself and his son.. Michael has a lot of work to do if I am going to like him again... I am glad he is coming back though.. The Michael/Walt story has always felt unfinished to me..

I just can't see him redeeming himself enough for what he did. He should have told his friends what was going on and at least tried to save Walt by using more extreme means, in cooperation with his fellow Losties. I see why he might have felt there was no choice...but there is always a choice.

Unless he was actually being influenced by external forces. If there is mind control involved in the overall story arc it might be proven that it was not all his own decision. In this case I really don't think so, however. I think he's just a bastard.

Killing her might be redemption enough for accidently killing Libby.

Ok, I'll give you Ana Lucia, but he still did not have the authority to take her life.

Also, from the perspective of Michael, the Others were pretty much a ragtag bunch of bumpkins with a couple of rifles. The fact that he would rather surrender his "friends" to an unknown fate of capture rather than try to take back Walt by force speaks more to his cowardice.

I agree...Micheal totally went about things the wrong way. But I did want to see what happened to him, so I'm glad he's back. Why did he tell Walt that he killed Libby and Ana Lucia? That was just dumb, IMO. I don't care how hard it was to hold the burden of what he did. He shouldn't have told that to a young child, especially his son. I don't blame Walt for hating him right now. All that he did...the muderers and the lying and betrayal..and for what? He doesn't get to be with Walt anyways, and it's his own fault. I really do hope he can do something to redeem himself soon.
