I don't know if anyone else notices this but Mr Ecko is (in my opinion) the counterpart to John Locke. Like the black & white stones found in the cave, to the backgammon references, the similar yin yang symbol in the DHARMA logo, etc. all point to each one balancing the other. They are both excellent trackers and are both wise. One found a piece of film in a bible he was meant to pick up? The other obsessed over the film in the lab watching it over and over. They were meant to meet. And....I bet you a million dollars when his first name is revealed, it begins with the letter L. And if you take the L and mix the words in Ecko, it spells Locke. I found it weird that he would call himself Mr Ecko and no first name. Just a thought.

The thing is that he is actually called Eko and not Ecko
