Sayid Hassan Jarrah
Sayid Hassan Jarrah is a middle-section survivor of Oceanic Flight 815. A courageous man and a competent leader, Sayid maintains a conservative manner which reflects both strength and spirituality, and tries to atone for the demons in his past. Sayid spent a lot of his adult life search for his childhood-love, Nadia, hoping she is alive. Sayid's past as a torturer constantly plagues him. Through his skills and leadership, he plays a key role in the survival of his group, and exploring the Island's secrets.

I think Desmond's story is the most dynamic. If I could choose a second place - John Locke. If I could choose a third place - Ben Linus.

That would definitely be Claire's. - Folie

I 100% agree with you. *yawn!*

I had to go with Hurley. I found his story fascinating. Numbers, Lotto, Nuthouse, Invisible friends, Money grubbing dad who just shows up. Hurley's story had it all!
Locke was a close second, as was Charlie.
Desmond was soooo close, but his back story is too short so far. Plus it's apparently still subject to change

Gotta say Hurley. Sure his backstory is a little murky ( I never found out what "all the trouble" he put his family through recently was, right before he won lotto, but the stuff that happened to him after that was just NUTz! Like a asteroid blowing up his chicken resaurant. You gotta admit thats awesome.
"I want to do a cannonball" -Hurley
*edit=oh yeah "the trouble" was making the deck collapse I guess.
