 Ana-Lucia Cortez
Ana-Lucia Cortez was an ex-police officer who sat in the tail section of Flight 815 when it crashed. She took a leadership role in the group and led her party across the Island, reuniting them with the rest of the passengers. Ana was known to be very emotionally cold and her background in policing helped her with her leadership role. Ana-Lucia survived on the Island for 65 days before being shot and killed by Michael.

Michael is going to have to do some pretty spectacular, amazing, saving-all-the-Losties-from-sure-death kinds of stuff in order for me to be happy to see him again. I'm afraid I'm still holding a grudge....hmpf!

Well after "meeting" Desmond for the first time 2 weeks ago, why would he be surprised that Michael doesn't recognize him?

since michael is not one of the oceanic six, maybe he sacrifices himself at the end for their rescue?

Hey! We all saw the big reveal at the end of the show with Michael coming down the hall as Kevin Johnson to mop out the room, but did anyone catch that we ACTUALLY saw Michael before that! So the answer to the thread question is... wait for it.....

Do we know that he's not one of the 6?
According to Lostpedia, we only know 5 of the 6: Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Sun.
Maybe he's one of the 6 AND he's the guy in the coffin! That would explain why his death would be news and why nobody is really interested in going to his funeral.
