new charcters

I know we havent seen much of them but does everyone feel about the new charcters in the show? and why was Daniel wearing a suit when he dropped onto the island?

so far i kinda like them all except for Miles.

Daniel looks like an unwilling participant. It seems that he is there against his will. He will probably be the source of some of season 4 answers and mysteries. Miles is a ghost whisperer who can communicate with the spirits. It suggest that the future knows about the island spirit and the crash victims. The pilot is probably the "Ben" of the group. He knows more than we think he does. The last of the four is there to figure out where exactly they are located. She is an archeologist so she will be looking for physical clues.

Daniel Faraday is kinda hot, and looks like he's wearing a postman's outfit, I don't think he seems to be the most "evil" newbie, I think he's quite nice and like ^ said, he seems to be there against his will.
Miles is also kinda hot, but he's a jerk, I don't like him much, he is the most "evil" I dont like him at all
Archaeology chick... Charlotte is it? Meh, I like her accent, but I was happy when my baby shot her
Pilot guy. How did he age so much? I swear on the outside world he looked young and blonde hair, then he was on the island and looked like he was 20 years older? I dont like him much.

Lost executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse created the role of Miles specifically for New York City native Ken Leung after catching his live-wire performance as Uncle Junior's unstable protégé in The Sopranos last year. Before signing on to the super-secret ABC series, though, the actor — who also played the porcupine-esque Kid Omega in X-Men: The Last Stand — called up Cuse and attempted to pry some info out of him. "I was sick of it. I have this tomboy side, and I really wanted to do action stuff." Wish granted: One of Mader's first Lost scenes found her hanging upside down from a tree. "I was so happy!" she exclaims. Likewise, her character, Charlotte — who was changed from American to British after producers met the English-born actress — is thrilled about her arrival on the island. Maybe too thrilled. Could Charlotte prove to be nefarious? "Tune in, baby," Mader says with a laugh. "It's gonna be good!"

JEFF FAHEY "Lapidus":
Jeff Fahey hadn't seen one episode of Lost before landing on the Emmy-winning drama. But that's because the veteran actor (The Lawnmower Man and the '90s series The Marshal) had taken a hiatus from Hollywood to work with orphanages in Afghanistan. While it's a pursuit the soft-spoken Fahey is passionate about, it's not one he's particularly eager to expound upon: "I don't want [it] to take focus from the show." He's chattier about playing bushy-bearded Lapidus, the pilot of the helicopter responsible for bringing the freighter folks to the island. "It's a dream job," he says, "especially for someone who's been kicking around so long." And an experience, Fahey claims, that really isn't so different from his recent off-screen endeavors. "It's fascinating to go from Kabul to living in Waikiki," he admits. "But they're all just part of the journey."

JEREMY DAVIES "Faraday":
With the twitchy delivery of one line — "Rescuing your people, can't really say it's our primary objective" — Jeremy Davies manages to send chills down the spines of the survivors of Flight 815 and viewers. The film actor (Saving Private Ryan) has a way with words off screen as well. Take his self-deprecating explanation for joining the show: "The creators of Lost are endowed with some seriously certified, god-size talent. For a misfit like me, an offer to make coffee for those gentlemen is one I'd find terribly difficult to pass up." Fortunately, producers instead asked Davies to play the mysteriously troubled, intensely intelligent Faraday, who has a proclivity for both island experiments and mumbling. It's a character Davies, who studies quantum physics for fun, has embraced. "Faraday may be contending with a seismic metamorphosis under the surface. How's that for enigmatic?"

I really like the Daniel character. He sort of replaces Charlie's spazyness. As sad as I was to see Charlie go, the island needs a character like him (and now this new Dan) who can be really serious but at the same time has a really funny air to him. I think he will be an enjoyable addition.

I made the comment in the 'daniel crying' thread that he seems kind of mental. Just the way the woman in the house spoke to him, her tone of voice was very calming and I don't know, the way you would talk to a mental patient. I watched the episode again last night and when Naomi is talking to Matthew Abbadon about the crew, she called Daniel a 'head case'. So I'm guessing he's either had a breakdown of some sort or maybe he has a condition like schizophrenia or something. Or I guess it could be that is he just very weird. I'm leaning toward him having had some sort of breakdown in his past though. Maybe he was in the same institution as Hurley? Never know.... None of them seem very threatening. Miles was the porcupine guy in X Men I think. I get the feeling they are being used by Abbadon/the people on the freighter. They can't very high up, Regina gave Miles no respect on the phone and Mikowski was too busy to talk to him?!

The only one I like of the four is Daniel because he seems so shy. He's cute. ^^ That Charlotte seems to arrogant to me, Miles is freaky!! Hello? He talks to ghosts!!!

Daniel is the only one i really like.
