Michael is one of my Favorite Characters

Ok people I've been rewatching season 1 (For the 6th time) and now I've gotten to season 2 ( For the 6th time) and Michael is one of my favorite characters.

Michael is a character that wants his son to be happy. At the beginning of Season 1 Walt doesn't want to leave the island but is afraid to express this. He tells John "Don't open that thing John" but he knows hes going to anyway so he wants to leave.

Michael in the beginning of season 1 is a little mean and acts weird. End of season 1 he feels much more like a deep character. The beginning of Season 2 it is hard for him to calm down. He is scared that if he doesn't find Walt soon that Walt will be hurt or forget everything like Claire. He has some adventures with the tailies and he helps save Sayid then flash to Mid Season 2. He finds a way to communicate with Walt via the hatches computer. Then he leaves to go find him. He takes a gun, Locks Locke and Jack up, and leaves. Flash to End Season 2 he comes back. When Ana Lucia is about to kill Ben he shoots her. Because if she killed Ben he'd never see Walt again. Libby walked into the room and said "Michael?" then he turned around and quickly shot her with a horrified look. Then he walked in to the room was Ben was and shot himself. He leads Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley to The Others. Then he leaves with Walt.

Michael is one of the most interesting Characters. He has very good flashbacks and is really nice to most of the people. He made sure that Jack, Kate, and Sawyer wouldn't be harmed which was the best he could do but he really needed his son back and this was the ONLY way. They could have killed Walt.

If u want u can try and convince me why I shouldn't like the character who killed Ana Lucia and Libby.

Ana Lucia is really mean and personally i think Libby is Dharma and that she is spying on Hurley and she doesn't really like him. Also, Notice that she never wants to see Ben? Or at least not in front of other people?

It's hardships people, and this character has been VERY interesting which is why he is my favorite. What do you think about Michael?

I think Michael can be a character that you love to hate. But I don't see him showing many qualities that make him likable.
Shooting Ana and Libby was the final straw that pushed many fans over to the
"I hate him" camp. ( I hated Ana so much that I was glad he killed her and that actually gave him points in my sadistic little book

)
Of course the story is far from over and even Michael will get a shot at redemption.
I do like Harold Perrineau as an actor. and so far his portrayal of Michael ranks up there as one of his greatest characters.

In Exodus and Born to Run he seemed like a more stable character then Kate.

Here is how I see Michael..

In season one.. I really liked him, his struggle to be apart of his sons life and do what he thought was best for him.. Michael Never wanted to abandon his son, Susan (Walts mother) forced him to.. and though he never wanted to give Walt up he only did so when he did think Walt would be best off that way..

I am a parent.. With that being said I can understand doing anything to save your child!! I think that Micheal went about it all WRONG!!!! I could see taking the drastic measures that he did (freeing Henry Gale, Murder.. You understand) only if the other Losties could not get WALT back.. He never gave them a good chance to try in my opinion he took matters into his own hands after coming to the conclusion that only he knew what was best to get him back and messed up bad!!

The others would have owned every single attempt to get Walt back. The plan would have failed. Ana Lucia was going to kill Ben and Michael couldn't let that happen so he had to kill her. In that room he came up with the plan of shooting her and shooting himself. Libby came in and he just shot. He was already shocked about shooting her that Libby shocked him so much he instantly reacted. You can see that because he shot twice. Personally I think Libby was a "Bad Guy" and Ana Lucia was just bad. If the others are as bad as you all keep saying they are, they could kill Walt. Walt is dangerous when he isn't getting his way. They really didn't want Michael to see Walt because they were scared of what would happen.

If he didn't shoot Ana Lucia. He wouldn't ever see Walt again. Thats why it's so sad.

Michael is my least favourite character - I hate the guy!
When he was on the raft going WAAAAALLLTTT WAAAALLLTTT WAAAALLLTTT over and over. Really annoying. And I don't like his new hair lol.

I have to admit I really don't like Michael. Maybe shooting Ana-Lucia and Libby to see Walt again was the only way. But with that action, the last bit of sympathy for him was gone. Ana-Lucia was one of my favorite characters and I was so mad when she died. And leaving Kate, Jack, Sawyer and Hurley to "the others"? Come on! Risking the lives of 6 people to save one seems a bit unfair to me.
And: How many times did we hear "I have to get my son back" or "WWWAAALLLTTT!!"? That was just annoying in my opinion. I get the idea of how tragic it must be to loose your son, but too much is too much.
But who knows? Maybe Michael will come back and surprise us and we're all going to love him^^

I never liked Michael. Even before he shot them, I found him to be whiny and annoying. His flashbacks were always really boring. The most exciting part of them was when he randomly got hit by a car. It didn't really matter to me that he shot them. I hate Ana Lucia, but Michael betraying his friends annoyed me even further. So now he is a traitor who happens to be whiny and annoying. Whats to like?

Hes not whinny and annoying. Did you read the top paragraph? Michael is waaaaaay past being whinny and annoying. Michael after 2 for the road wasn't whinny. He was pwning noobs. And in season 4 he will be pwning Jack and betraying em all again. All hail for the others official message boy! Were you mad a Locke for joining up with the others? You shouldn't be mad at Michael for doing there bidding. If you help the others, then your a good character. Just because Ethan had a darkside and Goodwin breaks a neck doesn't mean there bad guys. The Others were getting attacked by the losties. It is time for some of the LOSTIES to realize that they ain't going to just create army. THE OTHERZ PWNZ!

I like Richard and he's an other. I don't like Michael. I hope Jack shoots him or something.
