Benjamin "Ben" Linus

Benjamin "Ben" Linus is the leader of the Others on the Island. Ben arrived on the Island as a child, brought by his father Roger to work for the DHARMA Initiative. Ben takes orders from Jacob, and is the only person who visits and speaks with him. Ben's apparent goal is to keep the Island and its special properties secret from the outside world, and he goes to great lengths to achieve this.

Yeah the said that they had much bigger plans for Richard's character and alot more story to tell about him.

Now it looks like the part Richard Alpert plays in the LOsT universe will be greatly determined by how well Cane does.

Yes they also said something about Cane being on CBS but produced by ABC or something so they are hoping they can barrow him at least for a couple of episodes..

yeah it airs on CBS but is actually produced by ABC Studios. Which is kinda weird. But I guess a production company can produce shows for any network. Anyway since there is a common link it may help when it comes to Nestor's availability.

Did anybody watch the show "Cane" yet? I think it was on last night, but didn't see it. Maybe he will get killed off in that show and still be available for Lost. I think Richard has a lot more to do on "Lost".

I know this sounds bad.. I saw that it was on and didn't want to add to its ratings so I went and took a shower while it was on... LOL!!!!!

Wow, haven't made a post in a while.


I saw the preview for his new show at the theatre last week. I didn't even think that this could mean less screen time on LOST, or worse. But I don't think they could kill him off real fast, he's too much of a mysterious character. There's things to be known about him before he leaves.

I think Richard will be fine on the show. With such a big gap between seasons, and the seasons being shorter, it's a lot easier to work around everyone's schedules now. I think they realized they had to do this in order to produce the show with everyone they needed.

I hope it works out like this. All the comments I have read that Damon and Carlton made about it didn't seem quite as optimistic.
I guess it all comes down to shooting schedules. If Cane is shooting on a certain date and Lost is shooting on the same date. Cane is gonna win out as far as Nestor's availability. At least until the ratings come in for Cane.
