Locke and the real Sawyer

I've never understood why Anthony Cooper/the real Sawyer took off after he got Locke's kidney. Yes, he got what he needed, but why burn that bridge? Locke could have been very useful to him later. Clearly Locke was devoted to his father and Cooper knew that. He could have used him as a safe place to hide in the event a future con went bad (as it almost surely would) or a person to con in another way in the future. A smarter, more crafty conman would have seen that the father-son relationship could have been the setup to a MUCH bigger con in the future. If Sawyer was really that good, why didn't he see that potential?

because he used Locke for what he needed then left him, he probably was not bothered about the father son bond for those reasons because hed never needed them before. as for conning him again in the future Locke most likly did not have anything he wanted

If I were Cooper, I would have definately 'relieved' Lock of that sweet red VW Bug of his.
Cooper, I guess, never wanted any baggage around. I totally agree Locke would have protected Cooper in the future, even knowing his father's nature. Perhaps Cooper was in on the plan to destroy John Locke. Locke never seemed to have much going on in the outside world.

Yea Anthony Cooper just didn't care. I just re-watched the episode where Anthony fakes his death and then Locke loses Helen as a result of him lying. Locke looks over at his father, and his father kind of just gives this little shrug like oh well thats life, i got a plane to catch, not my problem.

Or Cooper could have stuck around for all the excellent connections Locke had - stuff like as many free boxes as he could ever use, or 10% off any toy purchase he made, or even a free home inspection by Locke himself.

I still dont realy believe coopers ,lockes father.....just another con....that boy found locke by finding the donour of coopers kidney, why couldnt cooper find himself a kidney...

i just think its to pat for cooper to be lockes father. if he's not,there's so much more to explore. like why is locke''one'' with the island. he said he was in foster care all his life. any attention to him would be a perfict ''mark'' for any con-man
