she remembers killing them, because back in season one (i've just rewatched that exact episode hehe) she tells sayid when he is pointing the gun at her that the fireing mechanism had been jammed and that robert(?) didnt notice it either when she killed him

if smokie only reads memories and makes a judgement about their morality from that the new implanted memories could hide her imorality, my only problem with that theory is, that she remembers killing people, smokie would see that and the way i think it works, still kill her for that...

My submarine memories by Danielle were just me trying to get into her mind, and assuming she was brainwashed by Ben. There could be mixed memories. Plus, if these are her memories now, and they are from brainwashing or not, then smokey would read those and believe they are really Danielle's, see what I mean. Danielle would have to believe her memories, because they are all she has, besides her rifle and her bag, which oddly, she carries exactly like Ben does. They both have Jack Bauer packs for some odd reason.

I'm guessing, from theories and ideas from other forums, that smokey can read your entire memory, r at least what you are thinkng of at that time, or very personal thoughts that affect you and make you who you are.

yeah i get what you mean CableRunner what i dont get is why would smokie leave her alone if he kills the bad people and danielle with her new brainwashed memories in place she is still a killer because she believes that she killed the rest of her research team

the way i see it smokey kills the people who have killed before after reading their memory eg mr eko so why would a new memeory protect her from smokey
