Paulo

Paulo was one of the middle section survivors of Flight 815. Before the crash, he and Nikki Fernandez murdered Howard L. Zukerman and stole his diamonds. They spent most of their time on the island searching for these diamonds to the exclusion of almost everything else. A bite from a Medusa spider induced a death-like paralysis in Paulo. He subsequently died as a result of being buried alive while paralized.

Default Is everyone a killer???

What are the odds that an entire planeload of passengers (well, the crash survivors at least) have, each and every one(??), killed another or been directly responsible for another's death prior to becoming marooned?

Is there no one on the Island that has NOT killed someone?

Maybe Walt is so special because he's the only one that never had any blood on his hands; an actual innocent.

Default All killers? Not by a long shot.

Sun, Hurley, Libby, Rose, Bernard, Claire, and probably a whole bunch of others haven't killed anybody. As far as I know.

Hurley and Claire definately have killed people. If Bernard hadn't before, he has now. I'll bet Sun had Jin's mother killed, and we haven't seen conclusive flashback evidence for Libby and Rose.

Wait juuuust a minute...OMG, you're right! Claire killed her mother. Was it drunk driving or just bad driving? But who did Hurley kill before last night? Morally Tricia Tanaka's death really can't be pinned on him, even if he blames himself. Do you think? Or was there someone else?

well I don't think Hurley is directly responsible for anyone's death until he ran over that other dude with the Dharma van. But prior to the island two people died when that balcony collapsed that he walked out on. His grandpa had a heart attack. Those could be linked to Hurley but it is not like he intentially killed them.

What about Sun's lover? He's dead as a direct result of the affair.

Default Nicki & Paolo, worthiness, and high points of Season 3

Were Nicki and Paolo NOT actually dead when they were buried? Just paralyzed? I thought they were fully gone once they were put into the ground. Didn't Jack check them out?

More importantly I really do think there is a kind of weighing of individual moral worth going on. As I said earlier, Whether at one time it was Dharma Initiative doing this (there was definitely a social hierarch going on in that utopia) or whether it's the Others and/or Smokey doing it now, or some other group entirely, I don't know. But I do think it's happening. All the talk of worthiness and lists of more worthy people... It's a definite theme.

On the most important note, HOW CAN CHARLIE BE DEAD???? He was my favorite character and the writers invested so much time and energy in him. It seemed he had the most episodes devoted to him...I could be wrong. Was anyone else waiting for an actual love scene between Charlie and Claire, rather than just the few chaste kisses he got? I feel so cheated.

To me his death, Hurley's triimph, and the future thing at the end were the high points of a kind of mediocre episode. I'm not on the edge of my seat as I was with the last two season enders. Anyone agree with me?

Default Quoting mahself: Sawyer would approve

My point in that last email, which I never got around to making, was that the Others/the universe/God/the aliens/(whatever) can't possibly hold Hurley and Claire as accountable for the deaths they were involved in as they could/should Kate or Sawyer, etc... You can't really call them "killers," especially in light of all the mention on the island of worthiness/redemption/blahblahblah...

Aside from the damage Charley did to his own life, did he ever really hurt anyone else BEFORE crashing on the island? And, did the Losties ever find out that he was the one who attacked Sun?

I'm finally up-to-date with Seasons 1 and 2, but have only seen the last 4 episodes of Season 3, so there are holes...many holes.
