Mr Ecko..

Alright folks.. time to discuss some matters about this new character..

Theres been alot of discussions on the internet about this dude.. and in the last episode (206) Ana Lucia told him she liked him better when he didnt talk..

Was he a mute and did the island heal him (like locke)?
Didnt he talk because he was shy or traumatised?
Couldnt he speak english and learned?
Was he on Flight 815?
Was he on the plane where boone was killed?
Is he like Ethan?
Is he one of the others?

What do you think?

1. Nope, I don’t think so. Good thought though.
2. I think he was scared because the others are stronger than he is.
3. I think he knew it; he just has a thick accent.
4. I figured so because they talk about how long they have been on the island and how the others came their first night on the island. Made it seem like it was his first night too. I automatically thought he was on the plane. I guess he could have been on the plane in the woods, but I thought that one had been there for a long time.

6. I don’t think he is like Ethan. Telling the people to "RUN!" and going with the Asian to find the other dude was too nice/good to be like Ethan I guess. If he was like Ethan, he had his chance to hurt both of them. Plus he seems scared of the others too. Like when they watched them walk by and him and Jin were hiding.
7. That's what I think. I know, it's very unorganized. I am feeling a little lazy tonight. I am sure grammar and spelling sucks too.

there is definately something more to him than the show would lead you to believe. I still have a suspicion, although its small, that he was on the island before. Maybe not as one of the others, but i think he has been there longer than the survivors

I really think he was on the flight. But after that, I'm not sure what he is.

The Mute part is what really interests me, i dont know what to think about that

A friend and I actually thought the same thing, like maybe the island healed his tongue or something.

But then if that was the case, i dont think ana lucia would have known he was a mute unless she knew him before the crash

Actually.. locke could walk RIGHT away when he crashed.. shouldnt Ecko be able to speak right away?
Another thing that intrests me is his great instinct in finding the way on the island.. is it an instinct or was he there longer then the other castaways?
I wont be suprised if he was on the cocaineplane..
