Reluctant leader.

I would say reluctant, but maybe it makes him happy because he feels sexy and manly!!

He's reluctant, but now seems to feel like his decisions are always the final ones.

Well, before, people were always looking to him to make decisions and to act upon stuff, and now he finally is.

Was it because he was a doctor that they chose him? I'm still trying to figure that out myself. I guess if I was one of the survivors, I'd stick by the doc's side, too.

I think deep down he's pleased to be their leader. He's quick on his feet, and makes good decisions. He only trusts himself! I don't think he initially liked the thought of being so responsible for everyone, but nobody else was stepping up to the plate. He knew he could do it, so he did and it's working...for the most part!

Jack loves to be the leader when a big decision comes up and he gets his way. He always pisses me off when he says something like "If you don't like my decision, you should of elected me as a leader". He can be very closed minded when he wants to be.

That's true! He doesn't leave room for compromising...

I think he's just reminding them of how, in the beginning, everyone unofficially chose him to be the leader.
