I think everyone on this island could be a hero if they tried. And Sawyer, especially could step up, now with the tail-enders involved and everything. Maybe he'll become as important a character as Jack or Locke.

Sawyer tries too hard to be nasty! And I guess that's why we all like him! They've revealed a lot about his past, but I have a feeling there will be a lot more to reveal/uncover!

People leave him alone because he "rubs them the wrong way" and he doesn't let anybody get close enough to him to help him out or hear him out.

He's definitely a misunderstood loner, but I think he likes it that way!

I think it's a lot about testing people too.

As in, he believes everyone will desert him, use him, hurt him. He tests people to the limit, then he can say - see, I knew you were going to leave me. That's what he's doing with Kate.
