In one of the more recent podcasts Damon and Carlton were talking about there being a love triangle involving Claire Charlie and another person. I think that other person will be Desmond.

In this most recent episode Desmond took alot of interest in Claire, I know you all are thinking that Desmond is faithful to Pen, but Desmond is a person who is convinced that he will never be rescued. So he may forget about Pen long enough to get involved with Claire.

So, do any of you think that this is a possibility? Do you like the idea of Claire possibly forgetting about Charlie for awhile, again. If not, who is the person who will be apart of the triangle if not Desmond, Locke?

Also: I imagine if Desmond does get involved with Claire, Charlie will get all dark and disturbed again. And I also thinkwhen Desmond and Claire get "Caught in the net" Penny's return to LOST will not be far behind, which will make Desmond decide between them.

well, I really hope it isn't Locke...I see them as having more of a father/daughter relationship. Whoever it is, I hope Claire picks them over Charlie (did I mention I'm really beginning to hate Charlie's character lately? but that's for another thread...)

I agree that Locke seems more like a father figure, but hey a lot of gals are looking for one... And Claire, like most of the characters on the island probably has father issues.
I think a triangle would be interesting with Desmond or Sayid. But I think Sayid may not be up for another round quite yet after Shannon.

If I had to choose between a short, possessive, jealous former druggie who cares only of himself or a handsome, regular sized survivor who saved me and my son from death by lightning...there would be no contest!

I think the obvious choice is Desmond. Charlie seemed a bit put off at even the hint of another man stepping into his territory. He's a feisty little guy with a colossal chip on his sholder. Demond can tell the future. it's safer for him than anyone else. He'll always know when Charlie is about to show up. Charlie will never know he's going after Claire. (BWAHAHAHA!)
As for Locke and Claire. I don't think age matters as much when your stuck on an island but, I can't see Locke having any time for romance. He's off to save the stollen three.

Personally I think Charlie needs to grow up. When he saw Desmond even talking to Claire he was right there like an annoying child you can't get rid of, trying to prove he's a man by saying that he's quite handy. It's just getting old. If I were Claire I would have asked for some space. Plus Desmond is Soooo much cuter!

It probably will be Desmond as stated already Locke is busy on his hunt or whatever ..... Charlie will never measure up to Desmond , however can I remind you that Des was in prison for something and may not be Mr . Wonderful . I hope Charlie keeps his head on this time , but that's not likely ..... Why can't they all just get along ?!
