Did you Wed? They show that show in re-runs here. I had to go to the imdb site to look up the cast of the episode because I couldn't believe it, but it was her.

I just rented Brick from Netflix and it has Emilie de Raven in it. The movie is pretty good. Like a classic 30s noir detective movie set at a modern-day Los Angeles (I think?) high school. The langauge is fantastic. All the clever clipped back and forth with the hipness of Swingers slang...or maybe the Rat Pack slang, but the viewer doesn't feel excluded.

I haven't seen the ending yet, so don't start throwing shoes at me if it stinks.

"No Wire Hangers Ever!"

Hey, does anyone remember the 1980s movie _Mommie Dearest_, starring Faye Dunaway? It was the film version of the autobiography of the adopted daughter of Joan Crawford. Apparently Crawford alternately beat the hell out of her 2 adopted kids and neglected them. In her will she left them both nothing saying "They know why." (!!!)

The scene that everybody remembers from the movie was when Crawford saw that little Christina was using wire coat hangers for her expensive clothes, rather than padded coat hangers, and began whipping her mercilessly with the wire hanger. Every child of the 80s who had cable remembers that scene and Crawford's shrieking during the beating. Chilling! Crawford became the universal poster woman for bad parenting.

Vanity Fair just recently did an article interviewing people who knew the family way back when. Some say the movie is a total exaggeration written by greedy, ungrateful children. Some say it's right on the money, and that Crawford was crazy and violent.

ANYHOO, short story long, Diana Scarwid (the woman who played teenage & adult Christina) plays "The Sheriff" on Lost.

the other night, the zorro movie was on tv. the sequel The Legend of Zorro, where antonio banderas and catherine zeta jones are already married with a kid, etc etc.

so i'm watching and Michael Emerson plays a pinkerton ( i guess like a prequel to an FBI agent, back in the horse riding days...)

anyway, i was totally shocked to see him

Locke is the snotty girl skater's father in the Cutting Edge. I'm watching it right now! I love that movie, in all it's 80s cheeziness! It's the one where D.B. Sweeney plays a washed-up hockey player and he gets paired with this snotty, stuckup figure skater who no one wants to work with her because she's so difficult. They fight and argue and fall in love, natch. Love it!

Deja Vu - You remember the black woman that was talking to Michael and said "we got more than we bargained for when we got walt" she is one of the scientists in Deja Vu -

Also a very good movie to watch if you like lost - about physics and time travel and mass murder!
