I'm almost 100% sure that our Kelvin Inman is the same guy that was in Sayid's flashback. I think he was the one who talked Sayid into torturing Tariq (I think that was his name...). I don't have any screencaps or anything, but what do you guys think?

It looks like the same guy from Sayid's flashback. While Des and Kelvin were talking, Kelvin said to Des somthing along the lines of "What army were you in again? Oh ya the queens army. You took orders from a woman?" Then Des said "And what hapened to your army?" Then Kelvin looked away, hurt. Kelvin also said that he joined Dharma after he left the army. A very likely connection.

I just finished reading the transcript... Kelvin says he quit the army because "people followed my orders". My thoughts are that he was so hurt by what he made Sayid do to Tariq that he quit the army.

Thats very likely. Good thought! War does things to peoples minds, it's possible that it was Sayid or just ordering people to kill people.

Of course it's the same guy! Looks like it, sounds like it, acts like it...and not least of all, the same actor played both! (Clancy Brown...a favorite of Cuse and Lindelof)
